Who would win in a fight, Barb or Miriam?

I vote barb especially if she has ready access to a vehicle during the fight.

even with the sonchu I don't think she'd win, miriam is %110 mean unrepentant cunt, she'd claw barb's eyes out.

EDIT: The loser gets "shittest mother of north america" tattoo'ed on the forehead

What's gonna happen when Johnny boy offers to teach a little girl how to use tampons within earshot of her dad?

In Canada? Probably a stern gender affirming talk.

What if Jon is this timeline's manifestation of Sonichu?

Would what the offspring off Gwen Hartley (mother of the Hartley Hooligans - thread in Beauty Parlor) and Jonathan be like?

Does anybody here have a list of usernames yaniv has used in the past? and could you post it if so

It's doing exactly what he wants it to do. It's getting people to comment negatively on him.

It's now working for his Instagram account, too. People are kind-of following him around and replying with varying degrees of "You suck" and "go kill yourself" for the most part.

Then he turns around, and with the flick of a few fingers, says every comment laid against him is pointless because he is the moo-moo'ed crusader for trans people.

Gee... no wonder the media won't touch this. It's actually getting predictable and boring.

He needs to get out of his apartment and hit someone, again. lol!

Miriam testified she's part of a synagogue, and based on those genealogies that have emerged, it's likely that it was the same that her parents belonged to, the same that had services held for Yitzhak, and probably out in White Rock. The fact of his Jewishness is something he NEVER brings up; he wouldn't even discuss a random I/P question that came up in his "social experiment" video. He doesn't care about making transwomen look bad by affiliating with their cause, but he cares very deeply about making Jews look bad.

And he and Miriam ARE by amplifying Jewish stereotypes. Curbing this is one reason why organized houses of worship exist in all faiths, to reinforce common codes of behavior that usually start with "don't embarrass us." Her synagogue is like that LGBTQ picnic Jon went to the other day. They're enabling her and him, and when the names come out, they better not be shoahing around implying this is a Nazi/fag hate conspiracy when it's them choosing freely to associate with people like JY/MY.

Honestly, if this synagogue had any norms in it, they would have gray-rocked/cold-shouldered Miriam into distancing herself for their own sake.

Being "part of a synagogue" doesn't mean anything. You can be part of a synagogue without attending. In fact, if she has a burial plot through the synagogue, she may just be paying the yearly "remote membership" fee which is always substantially less than a complete membership. It's a way for a member to keep their burial plot even if they have no intention of making use of any other rabbinical services.

Likewise, there are lots of people who are members and only attend dinners or celebrations - but have no interaction with the rabbi or any services. Also, her membership doesn't automatically guarantee Yaniv a membership, or even acknowledgement. For example, I know lots of people who have parents in synagogues, they're members and take part, but their kids are basically agnostic and don't give a shit about it at all. They're not members. Rarely are parents chastised for the actions of their non-member children. Out of sight, out of mind.

As far as Yortzheit services for her dead husband - in many synagogues, that comprises of a reminder letter and sometimes they send a yortzheit candle to the living partner. Usually they don't. Members can request a more active member pray by proxy at service for them - the proxy is usually anonymous. There are lots of embarrassing people who are members of churches in the world. I mean
shiiit, there's racism inside judaism.

As far as the dinner thing went, that may have even been a congregant outreach dinner. It might have even been a "pay to" or "donate to" play kind of thing.

If Miriam has one of those plot-only memberships, there's really nothing the congregation can do. There's likely no rule that says an asshole, lunatic, or any kind of "damaged goods" can't be buried in their cemetery section.

Miriam is not just a disinterested mother whose kid grew up and made different life choices. She's an amplification of the Jewish Mother stereotype. Nor is she non-religious. Under oath at BCHRT she made extensive references to how she attends synagogue regularly. Jon absolutely won't talk about his Jewishness, because THAT'S the only community that he recognizes reputation risk. It is the only community he actually respects, including respecting their sanctions. But they apparently aren't giving them. That makes them look bad.

It could still be bullshit. In many synagogues the experience is quite different for women than men. She could be telling the truth if she does indeed sit at the back and just kind of witness the service. Lots of people do that. In fact, most Synagogues don't require that you're a member if you want to attend Saturday services. You just slip in and keep your head down.

It's also a non-sequitur. Being a member of a synagogue likely did nothing for her at the BCHRT. They really don't care about that stuff anyway. Being a member who attends regularly does not make you religious. There are all sorts of congregations who get together regularly for more of the social aspect than the religious aspect. Especially in congregations where the men and women are segregated.

I don't think she's religious. ...and I don't see where you're getting all this talk about respecting their sanctions. This isn't some sort of Davidian cult. It's a garden-variety house of worship. All most of them care about is that they have a paying membership. Hell, you could even hold your membership from jail in most cases. What do you mean by reputation risk? This isn't the dark ages. People don't get excommunicated from the jewish community for doing dumb things or even criminal things. What sanctions could you be possibly talking about? That's not how judaism works.

Really, the only thing close is the ultra-orthodox idea of jewish divorce, which can be hell on earth for the wife if the wife wishes to divorce her husband. The Yaniv family is not from that group of jews.

It's clear Miriam is sick, somehow. But don't make it a jewish thing. There are plenty of christian Italian, Russian, German, and English mothers who exhibit the exact same mother-child dynamic. Virtually every European Christian can attest to it being universal, and not a jewish thing.

The synagogue may not excommunicate you for going about à la Yaniv, but that doesn't stop the members of the community from trying to distance themselves at best, and clandestinely talk behind your back at worst. I know for a fact that the church ladies will gossip about any church members who act kinda funny.

Blaire White's position parallels mine--JY needs to be called out by the community he has affiliated himself with and says he cares about.

Except here, he doesn't care about making MTFs look bad. He cares about making Jews look bad, which gives them unique power to do something about him and MY. I'm not Jewish so I don't know what a congregation (this sounds like a reform-conservative congregation) could do officially (hence my asking) but she doesn't sound like someone who slips into the back for services anonymously.

Sure there is chatter, but Miriam strikes me as someone who really doesn't care what others think. Besides, do you think this has actually made it to the congregation? Wouldn't surprise me if they were oblivious to all this. Sure, this forum has amplified it all through discussion, but overall, those two arseholes would just be seen as nuisances right now. And, again, no mainstream media coverage, and most people with IRL issues that don't extend to social media don't pay that much attention to what's reported on twitter and facebook.

Honestly, I think BW playing the "they're jews" card is just a form of racism or anti=semitism. "They're Jews, their community should deal with them." No, actually, the law should deal with them. Maybe BW isn't an anti-semite, but saying things like that will get him hits and visits.

I'm sure the congregation isn't really all that concerned about this. In fact, if Jon is ever arrested and sent to jail, they would likely just carry on with Miriam. Lots of congregations all over the world have congregants whose children may be in jail. They support the parents if they can. In this case, they don't seem to be bothered by Miriam's actions and The Rebel is not well liked in the jewish community, anyway.

What do you want his religion to do to him? Draw and quarter him in a town square?

People have to take these two to court, and win. That's about it. The penalties will likely be relatively small, but may be enough to wipe the Yanivs off of any social media spotlight.

Oblivious? Or just keeping their heads in the sand to avoid being labeled "transphobic"?
