Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Posted this already in another board but putting it up here for more people to see.

I took the leaks and added some japanese subtitles over them so the japanese folk can understand what they mean. Was using a translator to do this so the subtitles might be a bit wonky but hopefully theyll be able to understand the context of whats being said. The vid might not get views or anything but If anyone here can spread it around and put it up on japanese anime sites or boards where japanese anime fans congregate that would be neato. Hopefully maybe someone from Toei or whatever can see it if it picks up enough steam so Funi can get what they deserve.

You should run that by @ManateeHunter if you haven't already. Then when that's in the clear, upload it to Niconico for proper Japanese exposure.

I sent the youtube link to Yuki Matsuzaki as well. If anyone wants to give it free likes and retweets to make it stand out from the other shit sent to him it could probably help somewhat.

Big money lawyer - casual white collar crime. I'm mostly surprised that I'm surprised. Good old halo effect.

I hope he gets away with it, because Vic's cause is just and he deserves to burn down his enemies and salt the earth. And on a purely utilitarian/"lynch all lawyers" level, a little gratuitous notary fraud (or whatever the technical term is) is nowhere near as antisocial as the opposition's (attempted) weaponized deposition into dodging discovery into frivolous TCPA.

Round 2 of the Vic lawsuit is going to be amazing as all the people Sabat's pissed off come out of the woodwork to dunk on him.

What's Sabat going to do about it anyway? Will he keep people he's already been keeping out of the industry? It's clear the man has made a lot of enemies. This is the best time to toss him flat on his ass.

Makes ya wonder if Vic wins round 1 and A ton of Va's come out of the wood work for sabat. Will Kick Vic rename it's self to #KickSabat in a plot twist, or will they Stick to the sinking ship with the "smart ones" Making a New # like #UpToSa-Bat. Can't wait to see what the Writer does.

I believe it is more likely that happens if Toei dumps Funimation or the Sabat casting couch evidence continues to grow and Funimation self-destructs.

If Vic gets past TCPA, I don't believe this case will be done for another year or two. The Funimation Sabat fiasco is happen much faster.

What do you guys make of this reply to Kara Edwards post?

Could Vic or other players in this have had the power to fire him or is it likely only Sabat?

Sabat is the only VA I know of that definitely had hiring/firing power, due to his Otakutron5000 situation. Basically, Funimation outsourced, well, Funimation to him.

I looked into the Okratron thing and *apparently* they were used to do some Dragonball recording stuff, as a studio only. I don't believe they had permission to do anything else other than recording and passing it on.

A contract would need to be seen if there was one even drafted up. But I don't believe they had any sort of permissions to do anywhere near what Sabat did.

Everyone is aware Samantha Winn-Lee on twitter admitted they carried out sexual harassment and were reprimanded...hmmm so it would be nice if those "investigations" could come to light. A wretched knock? or a hidden truth? ms. edwards

You mean Samantha Inoue-hart ?
