Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Or maybe he has decided that he will change his ways and start a new as a changed man. Gone are his ways of Blows for roles, and Gay Fan fictions.
Now he is a changed man that he has seen the folly of his ways, and Strive to be a better person overall.

So hard to write that with a straight face.

Yea he is probably writing up a public statement saying that back when he started the workplace rules were completely different and plead for mercy being a boomer. Then he will say this whole thing is distracting from what's important and has made him super focused on getting rid of TRUMP.

Also, is Ty really as fucked as the article makes him out to be?
No.

Keep in mind this is the same website that didn't make articles about either the Funimation audio leaks, nor the casting couch bombshell.

But they couldn't get his to print fast enough.

If this doesn't show their overt bias and how much of a joke rag ANN is, I don't know what else will

Doubt it. They're building a case against Vic, Nick and Ty so that when the KV Klown Klub loses their case they can make it seem like it was a wrongful ruling and have ages worth of false narrative shoveling because they're banking on outrage to keep them relevant.

Whether that insult and diminishment came from a rando on Twitter, or from Sabat himself years ago, is yet to be seen. Only one of them is confirmed so far. People shouldn't flame VAs like this without at least getting confirmation of who was involved.

Spergers Gonna Sperg. Twitter is a cess pit that turns even People who stand with Vic into rabid fursuited degenerates.
No matter how many times people try to wrangle the tards, More pop up like The Vermin they are. :neckbeard:

I sent the youtube link to Yuki Matsuzaki as well. If anyone wants to give it free likes and retweets to make it stand out from the other shit sent to him it could probably help somewhat.

Oh but Vic deserves all he's built, which is greater than anything she's done, deserves to be destroyed?

Hope she caught something on that couch.

 this fake?

It’s not new. It was up on Glassdoor from the very beginning of Weeb Wars. If it’s fake, it’s an old fake. You can never know if Glassdoor reviews are legit, or what the actual backstory or motive is. But it does predate the Vic stuff. So that alone probably gives it some presumption of legitimacy. At least for it being an actual pissed off employee.

Wonder if that touched a nerve at all. Maybe, maybe not [Likely not]. I still am amused by it. :story:

Anime News Network:

Kara Edwards clearly still traumatized from her time on Chris Sabat's casting couch. Was this trauma responsible for her disastrous and failed attempts at lying about Vic Mignogna?

Ooops, she is is the wrong side for that type of headline.

Yeah as much as I want to trust those glassdoor reviews, disgruntled employees claiming someone is sleeping with the boss for favors predates funi. Now of course many people doing it makes that claim stand out a bit more, but still I have to wait to know for sure.

We can't expect perfection from Ty. That doesn't mean we shouldn't hammer on him about stuff like this, but we shouldn't be surprised to see errors sometimes.
I am no doubt precougared, but I feel Ty would be the kind of guy who would want to be hammered on his mistakes. He is what I am not; a man capable of learning from criticism.

Incident thought, though: remember when his firm filed a mistaken subpoena duces tucem and then withdrew it right at the start of the case? It's not the first time he's made an unforced error. It won't be the last, either

All the same, it made me remember something from chuck's affidavit

Either this is a legitimate recurring thing said about funimation in the office or chuck saw this and lied about it in the statement. I think the former is more likely. This atleast gives a bit more validity to some of his claims, not by much though

Of course. I don't like being *hammered* on my mistakes, but I like when people bring them forward and allow me to grow not only in my profession, but as a person as well. I'm sure Ty pretty much feels the same way. No matter how hard we all work or how much effort we put in to do our best, we are bound to make mistakes. Occasional mistakes are acceptable, but should still be fixed. A pattern of fuckery is NOT acceptable, and that's why we hammer the defendants and their counsel.

it would absolutely make sense that the same person that wrote the review used the same terminology towards chuck

Honestly, there are a few specific things mentioned in that Glassdoor review that leave me leaning more towards it being legit than not. You can’t see it all in the screenshot. But note how thereview talks about the lack of respect for the licensor or the property? Those leaked audio recordings immediately spring to mind. Some stuff described also seems to be in line with what we see in Colleen Klinkenbeards 2009 panel talking about Sabat turning her voice work into porn, and Chuck Huber’s affidavit. Is it damning? No, but the review seems to line up with the workplace as described by named credible sources. With many of those descriptions being made years before the controversy broke.

What do you guys make of this reply to Kara Edwards post?

Could Vic or other players in this have had the power to fire him or is it likely only Sabat?
Vic, outside of his smile, pants, and fangirls has no real power. He's directed (and cast for) one show, and that was Zodiac Wars back in 2017.

And while there are VAs who do a lot of directing, like Caitlin Glass, Chuck's affidavit declaration paints Sabat as an actual power in Funimation, not just a director who says to themselves "Should I cast X in my next project? Nahhhh".
