No, I understand you. Every investigation needs just that, an investigation. In cases like these though, there's also such a high scrutiny for victims that it's the reason why so many people hide it away, and it can seriously fuck with your quality of life as a result. Having seen the stresses first hand with my cousin who I think had more damning evidence than Amber currently does, she still went through hell for it and spoke constantly about regretting coming forward it was so hard on her. And this is a grown woman, not a young girl like Amber still is. That's why I worry about how far they'll come with these accusations, or if they'll just realize how difficult it is and back down. Again, I don't know much about Amber's father, but everyone in that general genepool doesn't seem too prepared for something so grand, so I worry.

I hope Nick wasn't being an edge lord, but if Amber is truly speaking up about it herself, I think that proves he wasn't. I don't believe for a moment she would come out of the woodwork just because she's older and online now and is just deciding to do it for a laugh like people are insinuating. It's gross to assume that over the idea that someone whose shown all of these disgusting signs of doing shit like this might have actually done it IMO, and falls right back into victim blaming.

Yeah I don't think amber is making it up at all, I just really hope nick is making it up, like all of it, all the way back to the beginning.
I'm very sorry to hear about your cousin, Nobody deserves to go through that. Thankfully for amber, they will treat her much more delicately, at her age they'll have a child psychologist doing the questioning, I'm sure it may still be intrusive but they go as far as they can to be accommodating in a case like this, all victims of sexual violence deserve this treatment but unfortunately I don't think they want to spend those resources on every case that comes through.

I'm getting seriously pissed off that nick is still roaming free though, ruining one kids life was enough, he's a legitimate danger. I'm shocked it wasn't enough for his parents back when people mailed all that shit to them.

It was his Mom's antique store. Those are ubiquitous in his part of Pennsylvania. They went out of business most likely because Nick's smell chased customers away.

I'm not really familiar with They Might Be Giants, but why does he want one of their new songs to be the same as a song they've already released?
 
No news of Sick Nick being busted, or even questioned since the scare from two weeks ago. Is it possible he was just spewing more delusional nonsense?

Right now they probably just have her words and the chat screen cap, right? I think they would prefer to gather more tangible evidence to make a solid case first, otherwise prosecuting him would just be moot, especially since nobody can technically be charged for the same crime twice so they'd want to do it right the first time, and they may not even be eager to do it once they see him as some kind of schizo. How often does he usually come on the internet?

This is the main reason why I'm convinced contacting authorities about Nick is useless. Unless there's evidence, it's easy to believe him when he says he didn't do anything.
Observe and report is the unspoken Kiwi Maxim.

There are some more tweets I didn't screen cap that didn't say much, but I noticed a couple things:
Nick is not close with his biological dad, but they hang out once or twice a month. Not sure if it's because the Dad is a loser deadbeat Dad who left Nick when he was young and is trying to reconnect or blames himself for having such a fucked up son.

I know this seems like the least believable thing ever but according to his psych report, sick nick has a damn high iq, 127 or 137 which if the latter, is bordering on genius. Just goes to show how little iq matters in the grand scheme of things

Yes, but that isn't immediately apparent.
If you see (and smell) nick you probably think he is a mentally challenged weirdo.
