Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

You might say that the affidavits make his case. I don't think they do; I haven't seen a single thing in them that proves "actual malice" for any of the defendants when they wrote the allegedly defamatory statements.
Monica's affidavit is actual malice. If you claim something happened to you, that means you indisputably have knowledge of the falsity of the statement. And as, according to Monica, three people know what happened, and two of those three are claiming she's full of shit, she's screwed.

J. Sean Lemoine's Letter to Judge Chupp with the Black Binders:
Dear honorably Judge I am sending you more copies of copies to weigh down the table and make sure to cause as much distress to your clerks as possible. Do not worry since we have color coded it.

P.S. If Ty responds we will have to send more copies of our bloated exhibits.

IIRC there is definitely some things in there that at the very least indicate that they strongly dislike Vic. The "affidavits" would definitely be super useful for both this hearing and a jury trial if not stricken.

Just no.
If you didn't do something, you' re not guilty per se. If you did something, but the other side doesn't mind, you're might be still not guilty.

If you had a fight with another man and he filed a police report, you have problems.
If you had a fight with another man and he doesn't want to make a complaint, you're not guilty.
Even hitting people on the street isn't illegal by default. It`s depends on what a particular person thinks about it, with whom you had a fight.

You're oversimplifying things. The law can't work the way you describe it. It's just impossible. The law is not a computer program.
The state presses charges all the time my dude. You don't always need a victim to press charges. I'm not saying that will happen here, but that's rather irrelevant to the case anyway. What is relevant is possible sanctions for misconduct and the judge looking poorly on Ty.

I thought you were gonna do some version of the nonary game

If Vic loses will he still get voice work offers? Or will the stigma of the case affect his career?

And if he wins....wouldn't Moronica,Jamie etc still get roles?

IF VIC WINS

these people will be exposed as folks who caused chaos in a company, committed tortious interferance and made their company liable

why would you hire these people

Regardless of what happens Vic won't be hired by Funimation again. Rial and March will quietly be phased out and their calls won't be returned. No one with half a brain would work with them when VAs are F list celebrities that are as expendable as Walmart cashiers. I'm sure a lot of cons are infested with SJWS that hate Vic and wouldn't have him back even if all the defendants made a video saying they conspired to ruin Vic. Rial and Marchi are now hated by most fans that go to cons and pay to have shit signed.

@Animegate19 posted this in the main Weeb Wars thread (link) but I'm going to add it here because it's a legal filing and I've been linking all of the Index entries to this thread.

Here's An Lee Hsu's profile on his firm's website: http://www.martinezhsu.com/index.php/attorney/an-lee-hsu/

My quick take is that Ty might want some additional hands on deck, particularly if he feels strapped for time and that his latest filings suffered and came out sloppy because they've got too many other cases on their plate. It could also signal that they're going to bring in Igor and Iago soon and anticipate the need for additional personnel for that reason as well. @Ivan Shatov has a different take (link) and thinks that BHBH may be bringing on someone with some specialty in employment laws to go after FUNimation. Regardless, it's likely to be interesting.

I very much doubt Vic dumped BHBH a few days before the TCPA hearing, its much more likely that additional brains are needed

100% in regards to contract law about Funiamtion. The notice literally says co-counsel so anyone saying BHBH is getting fired is exceptional. Iago and Igor are supposed to be a separate suit IIRC.

Let's be honest about the notary shit, if that were J. Sean who fucked up like that, this thread and main Weeb Wars thread would have a dozen-plus pages of posts about how Vic has automatically won and Mosquito Fuhrer's inevitably disbarment
It's good of you to try to keep our heads on straight, but I do believe it would depend on the situation.

Ty has nothing to gain by committing this "fraud" and everything to lose and, as Nick pointed out, he corrected the mistake before it caused any damages. The Bald Fuhrer then immediately pounced upon the situation to try and secure some monetary gain.

If The Fuhrer fucked up like this, it would likely be in an attempt to fraudulently win the case somehow, and he would never admit fault. People like this never admit fault because it would force them into a spiral of self-reflection that would be completely unbearable and would culminate in walking in front of a train.

This is, I think, being overhyped everywhere.

Ty fucked up and corrected his mistake when it was found. The judge has also been a lawyer and has undoubtedly also fucked up in a filing, Chupp also is especially familiar with how many fucking rules there are for everything, and how a person can fuck up even the basics if they haven't read the actual rules in a while.

As long as Ty goes in with a "look man, I fucked up but I also took it back and it's an easy fix. I really should have pulled the book off of the shelf and read it instead of being sure I still knew what was in it. Can I please have this one do-over" except in formal court language, he should most likely be fine unless he gets in a traffic accident with Chupp on his way to the hearing

Based on the filings, my read is that Lemon Hitler is the one who looks a bit unhinged for forcing paperwork issues into a hearing, especially the way he's going about it by jumping straight to criminality rather than "this is pretty negligent, and I hope that this won't be a pattern throughout the rest of the proceedings, right Your Honor? By the way, don't you agree Lord King Chupp, that these affidavits are clearly invalid and should be thrown out?"

The employment angle for bringing on Hsu is interesting; I wonder if it's also a matter of drafting. The structure of the filing was solid, but all the details of the drafting were fucked to hell, so I hope that whoever they're bringing on to help can draft better than the shit they filed last week. Or this week, I've lost track. Ty has said many times that he takes good writing very seriously so assuming he wasn't responsible for the draft we saw (I believe he's running strategy for this case) he must be pretty pissed at whoever dropped the ball.

I work with and use notaries all the time. It's virtually impossible to fuck up aside from signing in the wrong place or whatever.
