Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

I’m just curious as to why the defendants’ lawyers mentioned it to Ty to give him a chance to undo it? They could have slammed him in the hearing without him knowing beforehand.
Because they wanted to preclude any possibility that this was actually done legitimately. Because if they tried that, and they were legitimately signed, then they'd lose their credibility with the court.

I wouldn't trust that screenshot. Monica's a big fat fucking idiot, but even big fat fucking idiots aren't that fucking idiotic.

They all were playing bullshit discovery games. They refused to respond to discovery, bullshitted what they did respond with, and then filed the TCPA which is like a big ol' pause button on the trial. We have upwards of another month before we can get back to them refusing to respond to discovery and playing bullshit discovery games.
The screenshot is verified.

I hadn’t thought it through before. But Funimations “we do not support harassment!” Tweet might actually be taken as knowingly and deliberately untrue given what has come out regarding their actual workplace culture and behavior. Just play the Colleen Klinkenbeard video, followed by a few audio leaks. Uh huh, suuurrrre you don’t.

Scott Barretto, who runs a Twitter account for Funimation, was hired in 2018 after the acquisition by Sony. I didn't find any information, but I think, he worked for Sony before that.
In any case, I don't think that the first thing they did was telling him all their dirty secrets.

Erick left shortly after producing a stinker of a filing, and now Perez has left shortly after Vic's supporting affidavits dropped. I'm wagering that Kessler-Collins sees the writing on the wall WRT this case and does not want to be associated with it.

While the case may seem to have high visibility, it's really a very enthusiastic niche audience much like the weebs that devour Vic's voice work. K-C losing the case but handling it competently according to client wishes shouldn't leave much stink on them.

A much more likely reason for the departures in my mind is "these clients of yours are pushing for trial, which is a billable hour black hole, and have no ability to pay if they lose. For the record, Erick and Perez, that's not the way we do things at Kessler-Collins. You should seriously think about which firm you want to practice at if you continue this business relationship. We know we will be thinking about it"

Is tomorrow the right forum for Ty to bring up the rampant discovery abuse? Or does he have to wait until after the TCPA because of the stay?

They didn’t have to be declarative about it. They could just request to see if the “affidavits” were witnessed or not. The likelihood is that Chupp isn’t going to take the whole hearing to make his decision regarding the TCPA.

Latest round of losing the case.

Tomorrow is all about the TCPA and all admissible affidavits and evidence for TCPA. I expect much screeching about hearsay, bates labels and notaries. Lemon "the furher" will most likely not have to defend his clients discovery abuse, since it has nothing to do with TCPA.

Ty might bring it up to show how disingenuous MoRon's counsel have been about the spirit of the TCPA.

Did you read that whole Tweet thread, apparently Stephanie is saying she was hacked now?
I remember seeing someone saying it was a fake account with Stephanie's pfp. Unverified, but judging by her likes and activity, that seems unlikely that she was hacked.

We discussed it in the main Weeb Wars thread. That conveniently one of Dominique Skye's friends says she was hacked. But won't provide proof. Monica however has in fact confirmed the DMs involving herself are real. The idea that Naldony's account was "hacked" is up in the air.
