Fuck everyone involved, especially Zoe and Scott. I still want to play NitW but there’s no fucking way I’m going to support these shit heels who will profit from his death one way or another. Is there a safe place to pirate it? I would like to experience the game unmarred by whatever erasing of his name they plan on doing. Shit, I know I’m not alone in my anger and sadness over this shitshow. I’m glad we can be angry here.

Thanks for providing content to this thread. Zoe and Scott being called a piece of shit (no matter how true it is) can only be posted so many times before it gets repetitive. Unless Scott writes about how Alec is literally worse than Stalin, I'll try to keep my posts informative in the future, but these two are such retards, it may be hard to do...

She kind of is, actually.

General consensus among many psychiatrists is that BPD (which Zoe absolutely has) is effectively untreatable and those with it are generally lost causes, as the condition has an insanely high recidivism and relapse rate and doesn't respond well to therapy. This isn't to say people haven't recovered from it, but the condition requires that whoever actually committ to self-improvement, which is incredibly rare amongst people with BPD, who rarely seek treatment in the first place and have a notorious tendency to abandon treatment if they do. That's when they aren't pretending to be on board just so they can get back to business when they leave treatment.

Up until recently when newer treatment techniques started to show some progress, it was largely considered to be in the same field as Antisocial Personality Disorder. Even the new treatment techniques have the same issue though which is that the patient has to want to get better for it to have any effect, which often they don't.

Which is exactly why I'm glad we have an Autist like Hamblyburger in the field on this one: He absolutely will not shut the fuck up about it, and he has a big enough footprint that he'll draw fire from other channels that wouldn't be able to endure the shut-down attempt. Moreover, he has ties to old GG elements, so you can guarantee that any attempt leveraged against him will Streisand accordingly.

Even if you hate the guy, a position I absolutely understand, this is one area where his Autism is, if anything, philanthropic.

My guess is she's referring to Notch (who made Minecraft) and Brad Wardell (CEO of Stardock).

Chelsea has had a massive hateboner for both devs for a long time. Notch called her a gold digging whore when she tried cozying up to him.

Wardell has done more in gaming and development in one year than Chelsea will ever accomplish in a lifetime, and pissed her off when she begged him for a job and his reply was basically "don't call us, we'll call you". This was compounded when a webcartoonist who drew art of Chelsea sucking dicks for positive press also begged Wardell for a job. Despite Wardell not knowing about the cartoon (it was deleted months before) nor giving the artist a job, Chelsea acted as if Brad had personally called the artist up and made them Vice President of Stardock.

Zoe trying to go after those two would be delicious, because they are battles that she would lose badly. Notch has zero fucks to give (which is why NPCs have been unable to cancel him after years of trying) and also has "fuck you" money to hire lawyers that would litigate Zoe into a smoking crater.

Wardell has already been the target of a serious cancel campaign by friends of Zoe, and not only did he win, but the woman suing for harassment had to apologize in a written letter and admit that she made it up. To this day, Chelsea's friends at Kotaku will bring up the lawsuit but always forget to mention the "cleared of charges with prejudice" part. Much like Notch, Wardell is not afraid of Zoe's goon army, and has "fuck you" money.
