Here's that one time she went after UK socialist feminist hasbian Laurie Penny for not disclosing the fact that she was dating a trannie as a potential conflict of interest regarding her aggressive defense of troons and Laurie's refusal to factually and honestly engage with the facts presented by the other side:

TBH, I find the whole personal essay bullshit problematic. There's too much of her private life in her arguments, and not enough critical thinking.
Yeah, absolutely, be with who you want to be with (as long as we're talking consenting adults). I'm not judging Laurie for her choice of partner, just for how it clearly influences her politics and she's not honest about that.

I think I understand a little better now.
What I’m hearing is that women here have been utterly shat on by this government, by cuts, by rising sexism in society and the stripping of vital welfare and institutional support. And that in this context, as you see trans women as men, it seems like men are barging in and demanding access to what little there is left for women.
It seems like there’s also a very real fear here that trans rights will be used as a lever to deny sex- and gender- based provisions and protections.
Am I getting that right?

She seems to have dropped a lot of this nonsense now as she at least seems to have a modicum of self awareness. Possibly she's learned as she's now basically a laughing stock in the UK and is more or less unhireable.
She's pissed away a career her parents bought her way into with this nonsense.

A lot of troon medical practices seem to be all about pushing people past the point of no return, so that there's no possibility of resuming normal life as a member of your actual sex. Once you've already made it so your chest is flat and your nipples are destroyed, and you feel sad, most people would rather double down on self-deception and blame their transition for not going far enough than admit that they were wrong and go back to being a woman with a fucked up body.

You're always going to look "in between" and have to explain your life story to strangers, or have a good way to deflect their questions.
Standard practices for this disorder is to transform people with a gender fixation into lifelong medical patients, whether they continue their transition or not. The first trans surgery a lot of FTMs have isn't really "top" or "bottom" surgery, it's a hysterectomy. The first one a lot of MTFs get is an orchi. The emphasis is on destruction of the hormone-producing organs, to give you a life of side effects in need of curing even if you decide to stop cross-sex hormones. From a monetary perspective, these surgeries are the gift that keeps on giving.

What mostly seems to happen is people transition in steps, they have some euphoria over the changes, and afterwards they feel even further away from being a "real" man than when they started out, because they have a mental illness that causes an unrealistic self perception. Transition only makes things better for a little while, no professional is allowed to say that transitioning may not work for everyone. They tell patients it is like an assembly line with the "real" you on the other side of an unknown number of drugs and surgeries, that you'll be happy at the end. When it doesn't work that way no one knows what the fuck to do. Some of them end up like this, seeking out the most extreme surgery to finally be done. Some of the more fucked up FTMs see a neophallus as a way to not worry about rape anymore. You can imagine why they're so fixated on that.
