Not even ugly. Some of them are attractive before they troon out, but they've been convinced that they're ugly - or that their bodies are somehow a sin against the New Society merely by being beautiful. There's some serious Harrison Bergeron shit going on behind this.

I think it’s easier to think teenage girls trooning out by terms of anorexia. Some girls that end up anorexic start as fat or pudgy, some start as skinny but much more start just average because anorexia is more about control issues and selfhate than it’s about weight. When puberty hits most people feel wierd about their body, it’s changing fast and you are dealing with new issues like zits, body hairs, smells and sexual desires. At the same time there tons of advice about loosing weight and how bad being fat is. It can seen to an insecure girl that her life would be better if she was skinnier and of course she hates her body, it’s fat. Now she has answer why she is feeling bad and a plan how she could feel better. So she begins to control what she eats and possibly exercise. She probably sees some improvement on short term because she paying attention to food and that usually does help feeling more energetic and she probably also get some nice comments about having lost weight but after a while it’s not enough. She still not happy because the problem was never the weight at least not completely. But she tries continue because it helped before. If just she does get rid of those extra pounds then she will be happy. Of course nothing is enough and she might even realize that she has an eating disorder but letting go seems even more scary, then she will be unhappy and fat too. Then there all her friends would leave her, they all are into weight loss too. No, better keep the eating disorder up.

Troon fashion sense falls into these categories:

• Bimbo look: low cut tops, crop tops, booty shorts, low rise jeans, thong and tube tops. Usually accompanied by heavy makeup, possible fake tan and designer shoes and handbag (or a knockoff of either).
• Emo girl: black everywhere, mini plaid skirt, chokers, thigh high socks and cat ears. Overlaps with the weeb types and makeup is poorly applied black eyeliner and lipstick that doesn’t match complexion.
• The frumpy look: outdated patterns on clothing, clashing colors and trends that were popular 15 years ago or more. This might be the just getting started look and not knowing how to dress like a normal woman.
• Are they even trying look: basically the same clothes worn as a man with an added bow or girly top and a bra. Can be seen with a 5 o’clock shadow. Sometimes a bad wig is involved. Many in this category like the unwashed look.

Overall, none of these looks represent the average woman. They either tend to not wash/shave enough, wear lingerie as clothes or dress in such clashing clothes that most women wouldn’t dare wear.
