I don't think emotional investment is bad. In fact I think being able to feel something regardless of side means that we haven't been desensitized to the point of not caring. It's important to feel things.

But it is never an excuse to act like you've got emotional diarrhea and sperg out everywhere.

Feelings are good but sometimes it's better to process and move on with a fully formed, rational opinion before becoming more exceptional than necessary.

Whatever floats your boats. Those were hilariously bad. These are just going to be bad.

It also means all this has been for nothing, KV and their crew and just move onto the next #MeToo unopposed, and anime dubs will regress to levels not seen since Cloverway. Also, we’re one step to the moment where someone says fuck it and takes things into their own hands.

I would be shocked if the KV side doesn't continue attempting to stop Vic from going to conventions. However, the way Chupp is ruling on this TCPA is as though the defense was just "trolling" and no actual credible damage was made by them, which in a pseudo way, destroys KV's narrative as well.

Talking to my lawyer, who has also been following today's events.

First - he's critical of the Tweets in the motions, but says there's also problems with including the entire thread. Said his firm leaves out the thread and demands context on the witness stand. He wants to read transcripts to understand the Judge's reasoning better but believes this is not typical handling of social media in an anti-slapp case.

Second - he believes this is being treated like an evidentiary hearing, not an anti-slapp hearing. Judge is setting the bar way too high, rulings won't survive appeal. Suspects Chupp has been watching Nick's videos and may feel personally offended. "Sometimes the Judge decides to send a message..."

Third - most anti-slapp motions go through appeals. Problems with how evidence was interpreted are common. A bad outcome is not a final outcome.
I'm curious what Nick had been saying about Chupp that makes him feel offended, but I wouldn't doubt it. Judges aren't infallible, they're as human as anyone else and prone to that sort of bullshit.

If they appeal it'll be a long time before we hear about this again. I'm interested to see what other cases Nick talks about.
He'll talk about Vic vs Sabat&Shemmel for the exact same thing. This ride will never end.

He meant the whole idea of a GFM raising money for a case may be what's offending him. It's a novel practice.

You cunts listen. Even if Vic loses, it doesn't mean any of the claims against him are true.
Also, this proved Funimation and the other VA's to be cunts. Simple.

Now I know it's sad to see Vic lose cause beard wasn't prepared enough but the war still isn't fully lost.
This was supposed to be a mere tcpa hearing. Nothing else but chupp is moving past that and fucking ruling on everything.

He's passing the appropriate steps of handling a case to just saying "fuck it, this case is done".
