You have to remember that Nick was the one that referred Vic to BHBH, as well - if Ty fell down in his arguments, that's got to hit Nick, just a little.
No one forced Vic to take Nick's reference, he did it on his own will. Now, if anything, while Nick is clearly on Vic's side, he still got a show to run and reporting to do so the smartest move now would be apply some sacred ointment first and then report.

Vic should feel totally swindled if he was recommended different counsel and that different counsel couldn't pull together a case for him.

I remember in elementary school, someone offered to trade me my rare YuGiOh card for a kinder egg code, and I took it bc I thought the code would give me a more special prize.

Turned out the code expired.

DISCLAIMER: Didn't read the previous pages, you're posting too much.
I really didn't expect the judge to rule on the fly like that, seems really unprofessionnal to me (regardless of the outcome).
I personnally think it should be a core principle for everyone to never take an important decision on the fly...
I really thought the judge would rule nothing until at least monday.

Nicky is uncharacteristically quiet. What’s wrong Rackets?

I would assume all this requires some processing. And if he saw something that seemed unjust to him (which would piss him off), he'd need time to unwind before he starts speaking.
Nick ain't a kiwi, he's not in this just for lulz. He's a moral kind of person.

I've read most of this shit since February, and from what I can see, Ty Beard and BHBH was mainly accepted on memetic grounds rather than any serious look into how they dealt with previous cases (J. Sean and Casey got more of a hard look there). Most everyone assumed Judge Chupp was on Ty's side and was sick of the Casey and J. Sean's antics, and no one looked into his background (other than he was a younger judge and a Republican).

Maybe this is like when Souther BTFOs Ken in Fist of the North Star. Or since Ty loves his WWII, this is autumn 1942 when the Axis is advancing on Egypt, Japan is smashing through Southeast Asia and China, and Stalingrad and Leningrad are due to fall any day.

Nick left the courtroom angrily because he saw the future of his superchats.

Jokes aside, Chupp threw out the more hopeful claims (albeit arbitrarily and with my full belief that there will be appeals).

Defamation and Civil Conspiracy are probably the more lucrative ways to attain a win, especially given that Discovery now has to be done regarding them. They are the two things that implicate Funimation and Sabat.

I think discovery is still stayed. Chupp will be taking the 30 days to still rule on the TCPA.

I believe that's the sound of a man being butthurt and faced with the realisation that some of the mental midgets on the Law Twitter side may have had a better grasp of the case.

Not really. Actually Rekieta has always said Marchi was a long shot and weak. The Judge tossing the TI from Funi not unexpected. The Judge tossing the TI regarding Ron when they have documentation of him committing it in real time is however deplorable. Monica’s TI required Dalin’s affidavit which Ty clearly fucked up. But no TI for RonRon is unexpected and bordering on absurd.

Well that concludes the show folks. Appeals will come and go, but the majority of the damage has already been done. Thots will hold this up as a shining victory for teh wahmens, metoo culture will do a victory lap, Vic won't get major roles again. Nick will slowly stop talking about it as much, and BHBH will return to obscurity.

Even if things turn, the first blow is the most decisive in the public eye. A victory will still have that asterisk attached.

*which was initially dismissed via TCPA

Except now we appear to be hearing that the Mo-Ron TIs weren't dismissed yet.

Well, that was a disappointing shitshow. Especially the TI claims against Monica and Ron being tossed. That's the one where I thought the judge would have to be on crack to not let through (with Slatosch's declaration).

Just remember, this was never a sure thing, and absolutely none of you, my fellow Kiwis, are to blame. Life is sometimes a bitch.
