I joined because of Vic and Yaniv but I've known about KF for a few years. I just haven't had incentive to participate but I really like having people to discuss things with who aren't in my friend circle.

People know KF at least vaguely if they're invested in this situation because KF gets brought up frequently in discussions when something big happens in any fandom community. Cosplayers and streamers are frequently mentioned in those same weeb circles and many acknowledge things brought up here.

I got a bunch of dumb ratings for not sucking him off after he bumbled the affadavits, he might be a nice guy but he does seem a less than the primarch people kept larping him as. I'm more shocked that 2 senior partners and amazon prime couldn't get a bunch of things nailed down for a tcpa hearing, I though they were doing weekly meeting to keep everything fresh and not one of them said "eeer guys, I think we're going to need some proof from other cons to really nail them with TI". I'm hoping to God that it was just KV filtered and Ty really didn't answer Chupps question about the names of cancelled cons with "I'm not sure".

I think you're missing the point.

Ty went into the hearing with a clear different understanding on the situation, and a poor read on the Judge. The affidavits made absolutely no difference in the hearing, he even referenced to them in the hearing and Chupp didn't flinch.

The base of things were that Ty thought he did enough work, and it wasn't enough. Chupp seemed chuffed that Ty made excuses for simply not having evidence to support some things, and smacked him for it; likely sending a message that he should have been spending his time getting the evidence instead of assuming what he had was good enough and going on Nick's streams.

To that end, I agree with the Judge's decision to not give him any rope. We don't know how pressed for time BHBH was or who they all had assigned to gather what. At the end of the day, Ty is the senior partner and the blame falls on him, which he's already taken to the face in the past

Maybe we'll need the transcripts of the hearing to get a better idea but it's really fucking odd Ty couldn't get the TI claims to stick considering all we've heard about it from different sources. That's really the biggest red flag for me.
I know it's not over yet but that seemed like the easiest and most important thing for the case.

But the contract was different and Vic had to pay for security so he was harmed by the TI.

Gotta side with the Judge on this too. BHBH had time to get information from the prospective conventions to corroborate the TI, but he instead relied on inference which ultimately cost him a TI claim

The point was, Ty had all the time before to gather those affidavits but apparently didn't or chose not to because they weren't complying. So he focused on other parts of the case.

It was a missed opportunity because BHBH seemed to have misread the Judge and took a gamble on inference being enough evidence.

I get the feeling that Ty has faced TCPA hearings before and won with this same level of evidence he had here. I think the judge is being unreasonable.
