That's the stupid part about all of this. The scope was to "PROVE" there was evidence. Not "Here is the evidence". That's Prima Facie. Chupp was basically asking for shit that was supposed to be introduced in a Jury trial.

Correct.

Ah, I see what you mean now. My fault. With that in mind, yeah...what a truly fucking weird hearing then.

All these people celebrating right now haven't realized yet that all of their reputations have been damaged because of all this drama, and really will ostracize these particular members of the industry for the rest of their lives, including Vic. All the other people who got too invested in this by proxy need to take a step back and realize this is about as upsetting as watching your team lose at the Super Bowl, with the results having the same amount of relevance to their every day lives.

i'm surprised that TI was dropped while conspiracy remains. I kind of thought that was a package deal? also i kind of thought TI was the strongest case.

wonder if the other causes will be dismissed too. then what? the sperging will be incredible.

Honestly, I suspect that for many people it is a matter of hoping there will eventually be consequences to false MeToo-esque claims.

Why is everyone freaking out? Nobody got a slam dunk. The most likely party to walk away got to walk away and the war continues. Did a single person who wasn't buying into propaganda think either side was going to walk off with a total win? Spergs. Spergs as far as the eye can see.

You have to keep in mind, Nick has been saying again and again anything could happen, the people who are losing their minds over it seemed convinced it was going to be a slam dunk, and given the type of people on the defense and the dumb shit they pulled it's hard to blame them for thinking that. This outcome's not ideal by a long shot but things happen, and until we get transcripts we have no idea who's really to blame. The TI claims seemed like the most likely thing to not get dismissed, but it happened.

It sucks that portions of the gofundme will be spent on Marchi's court fees, hopefully the donors knew the risk before donating.

You know what's more hilarious?

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is still on the bench and she has 2 types of cancer, falls asleep during hearings almost ALWAYS, and has early stage dementia.
She's a dumbass who should have stepped down years ago. Doesn't change how funny it is to see people putting stock into what a 20 year old on YT has to say about the hearing today.

If she already had the money for the trial saved, the best move she could make was just gave back the money or donate it to charity. Those virtue signaling points are useful right now

Eh, I'm going to say Ty fucked up this time around. I think both sides are sperging out too early about this. Hopefully Ty getting slapped down will get him to focus and get his shit together.

No matter how much it looks like back seat lawyering, that is the only thing we know for sure at this point and until the full transcript comes out.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for Ty to wait until just before midnight of his deadline to file such a all important document. No amount of hand waving about how lawyers do it all the time, lawsuit fillings are a fluid process, etc. can make Ty look good in this situation.

Vic should be very fucking angry right now with Ty and be actively considering his options going forward.

I'm eager to see that script now, because one the biggest questions overhead is certainly: how the fuck did defamation and conspiracy stick but not TI?

It makes me wonder: was Chupp's treating the hearing like a trial and demanding evidence of the contracts really the stopper on that?
Chupp pretty much acted like the TI didn't count since it didn't succeed to his standards. Very appealable.

Oh yeah don't get me on that shit. That's for their respective threads.

Ya know, one thing I really appreciate about the Farms is that generally speaking discussions tend to self-correct towards sanity. I definitely felt myself getting a bit too caught up in the situation, but seeing the many examples in this thread of what NOT to do being mocked incessantly should be enough to bring everyone to the reality that at the end of the day this case has no real effect in your life.

It doesn't have any effect on anyone's life specifically, but it's a gauge on how effective the courts could be in combating whatever this extrajudicial version of "justice" is. We just need to sit down, grab some popcorn, and laugh at the literal turds the fall out of the back of the cattle trailer.
