Funny enough I had a large bias first time coming in. then I merely just stopped giving a shit about anything aside laughing at people.

Same boat, contributed to the GFM and the shitshow has been worth the cost
And its not even over yet,

And if he win (or gets some Funi discovery going to put that "investigation" on blast) then all the better

that seems to generally be how it works. The more bias you had originally the less anything that happened bothers you. in reverse of course that means those that came in completely without being biased towards vic personally and just wanted to shit on #metoo are the ones that ended up falling in love with vic more and now are butthurt.

i mean FUCK. We all knew something like this was a possibility and even highly likely. We also knew that even had we gotten our wishes appeals would've happened. literally nothing changes for us.

I think people on both sides are blowing the hearing out of proportion. Chupp behaved improperly and demanded evidence that isn't required at the TCPA stage, and didn't even fully dismiss all points on the case yet. It seems obvious that Vic's team will just appeal with a different judge and things will continue onward. At worst, the defendants' strategy of annoying the judge until he just didn't want to deal with it anymore was effective on that particular judge.

Honestly, the best that people should be doing right now is sitting back with a glass of your favorite booze, taking a swig, and saying "thank God I'm not dating Zoe Quinn or Monica Rial".

Else you'd likely end up minecrafting thineself.
Can't they took away my booze after the last time. I will just sit back with my favourite sandwich.

The money from GFM that would not be spent in the course of the trial was intended to go to victims of domestic violence.
Before I become upset that they went to Jamie Marchi, I need to know more about her. Maybe she is qualified. The unexpected story with Ron makes you think in this direction.

You mean like how that one guy said his friend was trying to, and thought it be a great Idea to ask Us for help. :story:

Sure he says he talked him down from it, but What a fool coming to us.
Coming to the farms of all places for us to talk someone down from Minecrafting themselves? Jesus Christ that's exceptional

Also reminders to people freaking out about the lawsuit. Vic is the plaintiff in this defamation lawsuit and this was a way to recover some lost reputation. He still was never charged or convicted of anything hes been accused of. Even if he loses the entire case this does not change. Keep supporting Vic by attending cons he goes to and project hes part of.

Yeah but the fact that the judge throws out TI just because one convention that canceled him because of interference by another party (that was proved) and then reinvited him when legal action was threatened, is really not helping this case. I mean, I understand that he wants more evidence but it doesn't make any sense.

Theoretically, MoRon or even funimation themselves (or anyone else for that matter) could still interfere with his appearance at cons and as long as their involvement is kept secret by the cons, vic is out of a job. Further he hasn't recovered much, if any, of his reputation in the months that have passed either with all the hit pieces being written and about him. The only thing that has come out is that funimation and some of their VAs are pieces of shit.

Even though everyone agrees that Ty could do better.
The lawsuit has already solved one of its main tasks. Now everyone, including all the organizers of all conventions, knows that Vic's main accusers have nothing on him.

Now Ron and others can't write personal messages to the organizers hinting that "criminal charges will be coming soon," and basically it has be reminded once again that it's not actually legal.

The judge's responses were pretty ridiculous in general. He expected a standard of evidence that he shouldn't have, he ignored evidence that was there, he had the weird TI decision, and he apparently decided Vic was a public figure at the time of the defamation because press was present in the courtroom now. It sounds like he just doesn't want the case on his docket anymore. I imagine they'll just appeal and get someone else.

Sigh...I guess it's time to do another one of those sperg rally cries. I'm getting too old for this. I mean...*Ahem*

Been a lot of talk Ty just lost the case along with our old bud Chupp acting strange in the hearing. A lot of people are just reeing like Lolcows do or are on the circlejerk Twitter lawyers train probably ready to shit on Nick 24/7 because they have nothing better to do. Shit happens. Ty probably was a mix of cocky and a bit shocked seeing how Chupp behaved in all of this and the best he can do is try to appeal. Losing the case was always on the table. Ty said it. Nick said it. And we can point fingers and blame everyone but who does that honestly help? People are saying Ty shouldn't be on the show. In all honesty, I felt Ty should have been in the back seat of this lawsuit since he kind of was a spokesperson and one connection. I think he should still be allowed on the show if he wants but hard to say if that hampered his work. What if it actually is the other way around and Nick keeps him focused.

I doubt the KV lawyers are that exceptional to think this is all over even if the judge dismisses all of it. The hearing was very unusual. I wouldn't also blindly believe the appeals court is going to magically make this a slam dunk for Vic either. Today was a surprise. BHBH took a hard L. That's really it. Ty's human just like the rest of us and maybe he flupped badly and it costs the case. Maybe it was destined to end this way regardless. You know what doesn't help, bitching about it. You're not Vic. I'm not Vic. So if this somehow affects your life, you've got serious problems. Ultimately, it is a blowback for a man you don't know to an industry that is the garbage that Sony tried flushing down the toilet. Gonna be the same shitty place for the next decade or so.

Here's the problem: most of you can't accept hard truths and turn to the ISWV hugbox to assure things are going to be okay and Vic is this saint and Ty is this ungodly lawyer. I like Ty. He's a fun nerd. Nick also is the master of making people screech (guess it's a fitting nickname for him). Nobody is perfect and Boomering happens. You people who probably don't read this have to lay off the ISWV propaganda. Too much is bad for you and has probably taken its toll. I admittedly stopped listening to most of them as at this point most of them are grifting. In a way, I do hope they finally get some backlash and people start thinking and realizing what's going on. ISWV is as exceptional as KV. People are just a wee bit delusional because KV champions some of the most exceptional people I've seen in my entire life.

Here's the real kicker: Vic has started to become a side character in this saga. The spotlight stopped being about saving Vic in the industry since his reputation has slowly recovered. People are in favor of him and all is starting to be well. He's starting to become more of a tag and excuse to attack SJWs. It's actually kind of sad. Before this hearing, who was in the front and center? Chris Sabat and Funimation. Those people are awful and there's no reason on earth you should ever support them. Just imagine if a million weebs stopped purchasing products from Funi entirely. It'd take more than applying the sacred ointment to heal that. So what can we do? Mostly keep doing what most of us do best: laugh at stupid people on the internet. Because nothing pisses the people off more than being mocked at.

And just think of it this way, just imagine if the appeals court overturns and overrules the TCPAs on everything. The amount of salt would be far, far greater than whatever happened here. It'd be like winning a race then getting a foot cramp right at the finishing line causing you to be last.

wont it just go back to him if the appeal is successful after he dismisses all charges?

I dunno, Manjawllo/Lyin' Cunt and some other exceptionals can continue the TI madness.

Was about to say they would have to be pretty stupid to try to do that. but just realized what group we're talking about. I mean if they want to give Ty evidence of TI. feel free they're just fucking themselves in the long run.
