Community Munchausen's by Internet (Malingerers, Munchies, Spoonies, etc) - Feigning Illnesses for Attention

Type II acromion has an open left parenthesis by it.

I guess she was gonna write surgery there and then figured out that there's no surgery for it and actually it's the most common way the acromion is formed oh well.

to me it looks like she put the bracket to join shoulder dislocation, torn labrum, and Type II acromion so she didn’t have to write “surgery” three times in a row so she’s saying she DID have surgery for that

Oh wait, you're right. I was just skimming over it.

None of these require surgery btw and can be managed by physical therapy. Most normal people don't want to go under the knife and try to avoid it. Most orthopedic surgeons are becoming more conservative in treatment of this stuff. But I guess munchies can always find Dr. Bob with board and get their surgeries done.

Also I see these injuries most often in people who start working out and lift heavy weights with poor form. Draw your shoulders back and pretend you're holding a pencil between your back muscles before you lift.

She doesn't actually have CP she claims to have a degenerative neurological disorder that they don't have a name for, which makes no sense as she often regains the abilities she's claimed to have lost. A lot of the symptoms she claims or acts out often will suddenly disappear too. For example at one point she was having ticks including ones that made her swear as you can see here. Although you don't see them in any videos anymore oddly enough.

Her spazms always seem miraculously disappear when she wants to do something with her hands such as her hair and make up.

Is she just doing this to scam people through a fake charity?
How does she explain going from 'learning to talk' to singing and talking clearly in a week?

What a strange fascinating creature.
[/QUOTE]
Possibly. As far as I know she doesn't run a charity but she has fundraised for things for herself.

Also why does she wear baby bibs and drink from a baby's bottle? Nothing screams I'm special more than that. Looks like she's another FDIOS with FDIOA mom, like Morgan.

I think she lives in the UK? In the NHS, standard of care for PNES is trying to figure out what's causing it and then if no objective clinical findings, psych referral trying to rule out FDIOS or malingering.

Yes she lives in the UK. Apparently she's been signed off from psychology. She claims to have epileptic seizures but none of what she says fits with epilepsy. Then there is the taking pictures of herself during seizures. She has also admitted in the past that she was told she needed CBT for them which would fit in with them being PNES.

Yeah she definitely wrote it like that to make it look like it was worse than it was too. Plenty of “normal” people have those injuries. I doubt she tried conservative treatment and, if she did, she likely did the bare minimum. There’s always a doctor willing to do surgery for these things.

I don't think I have ever seen her mentioned here before but the GFM and late stage Lyme disease caught my eye . She also has gastroparesis and claims nobody where she was living knew what it was . Remove if I am wrong but this sounds like every other person on here .
Her name is Denise Ryan and she has lived in Canada and Ireland.

Edited for clarity

Does she still live in Ireland? I'll go round and look through her windows..

You know, they make absorbent garments that look like colorful, age-appropriate scarves but act like a bib, and adaptive spill-proof cups that don’t look like baby bottles, so that people with actual neuromuscular conditions they cant opt out of can stay clean and self-feed while maintaining some dignity...

But you know, if you want to make a mockery of those people who didn’t choose to have devastating neuromuscular conditions while drawing as much attention as possible to how much of an asshole you are, I guess that’s your right.

So I spent some time digging into this "Bee" character. Her name is Bernadette Crisp, and based on a photo that her mother (Germaine Crisp) uploaded in 2016, Bee(nadette) had no (visible) neurological issues as a young child.

One of my favorite approaches to munchiewatching is finding visual contradictions. After a few minutes of skimming through Bernadette's "Bee" page (I prefer Bernadette, since it's not as infantile), I found some interesting nuggets.
In this photo, posted two years ago on her Facebook page, Bernie displays very accurate manual dexterity in the form of a neatly braided hair-do, complete with evenly-spaced and secured floral pins. She says in the comments that this photo is from two years ago. Her smile is even and her head is up straight. She looks like a normal human being.

But then you get to photos such as this one, wherein her posture is very reminiscent of a person with Cerebral Palsy. She appears to have limited control/movement of her right arm, and her left arm appears rigid (mimicking something akin to a contracture, or general stiffness/lack of control). This is the stance of someone who is unable to do most of their own self care.

In her "Learning to talk live 🐝 come see what I do" video, she begins with no manual dexterity in her right hand and limited dexterity in her left. Her tongue is idly flapping around in her mouth (she nearly bites it at one point). Moments later, she demonstrates that she has borderline precise control of her tongue (nearly touching her nose and giggling). Which is it? Do you have apraxia and limited control of the muscles that allow you to speak or can you do neato schoolyard tricks like tough your tongue to your nose? She outright says the word "good" in the beginning of the video, but moans random syllables throughout the majority of the rest. She's intelligible at some points, but reverts back to "urrrrrgh" -- as if she forgot she couldn't talk.

Later in the video, during her fun makeup adventure, she demonstrates her super Palsyesque skillz with this facial expression, followed by a controlled "beauty guru" pout once she smears glitter on her face. Note how relaxed her right hand is...and her face in general.

She swings wildly between levels of disability. It's quite impressive, really. I'm not sure what else her deal is (and I'm no medical guru), but I figured I'd share with the class.

People are, in general, really bad at faking symptoms. We're watching you in the waiting room btw.

Of the following list:

-- Patient hears command voices telling them to hurt themselves or others
-- Patient thinks you are controlling their mind using telepathy
-- Patient accuses their neighbors of stalking them at the grocery store
-- Patient has visual hallucinations with bizarre content.

All of these can be considered blatant symptoms of psychosis. Two of the above aren't unusual. Two are very rare. Psychs can tell the difference. Can you?

...Dammit, now I’m curious.

I’m guessing the first and last are much more rare than the paranoid ones.

I feel like direct commands and visual hallucinations would be pretty rare. That means there's some sort of outside factor being brought in. Being paranoid about mind control and stalky neighbors seems more common, since it doesn't mean there's an outside force in play.

The first and last ones are the ones I think people try to fake more if their trying to fake psychosis, like people on Tumblr. Bit of a powerlevel but I worked in customer service for years and had customers claiming either of the middle two quite often just in general friendly chit chat. That's why I think their the more common ones, they wouldn't have gained anything from me thinking they were psychotic and always was brought up out of the blue so I have to assume these customers were legitimately experiencing psychosis.
