Alright. I'm a thief. I have no original ideas, I'm a terrible writer, and I should just give up and find something else to do. Sound good?
Don't be so blatant about it that it sticks out like a sore thumb for anyone who's seen popular movies.

No, you need to have the confidence in your own abilities not to use other people's writing as a crutch, and the craft to express yourself without stealing from other people's work. At the very least, you need to break this habit before you take a college writing course because that is the sort of shit people get expelled for. And we are very, very good at spotting it.

^Agreed, Knife. However, I think the story could potentially work with Krieger playing a Lecter-role. He's only going to be a few scenes, and as diabolical as he is, he isn't really a direct existential threat to Eva. The other serial killer, Lilith, fulfills that role, and without her, the story wouldn't be very thrilling or scary. In my view, I see Klaus and Eva being a pair that are staunch opposites, and yet have a lot of eerie parallels that they themselves both acknowledge by the story's end. Even Lilith has traits that mirror Eva. I'm fascinated by and attracted to the idea that "good" and "evil" kind of rely on each other to exist.

Connor, i'll be honest with you. You can toss as many random pseudo-intellectual words at the wall as ya like. You aren't fooling anyone.

So I guess I don't have what it takes, huh?

No, you don't. If you literally chimp out at being told your book sucks, you'll never make it. You don't edit without whining, you have no serious intentions of changing, you're a bratty, entitled, sexist, racist piece of shit who aspires to be the next Philip K Dick while having not even an iota of talent.

Do something else.

There is no shame in being a dude who watches bad movies and reads bad books and plays video games. You don't have to "create", not everyone is a creator, and you can't force it. Even people like Thomas Kinkade, or Jim Davis, or Stephanie Meyer have a modicum of talent. Just enjoy yourself and stop trying to force shit that will never work.

what do you suggest?
There really isn't a point in suggesting anything to you is there? You'll just complain about how hard it is even if it's what everyone else has to do to get a job or gain a skill. I know that because that's what you always do. How about you tell us why we should still try and help you instead of laughing at you like we do with other lolcows? I can't think of a reason.

Well, I honestly want to write fiction because I enjoy reading it. I feel like I have some stories to tell, and we all do. If you insist that I should give up writing, what do you suggest?
There are other was to tell stories aside from writing.
Many forms of creative media.
Art, Short Films, Interpretive Dance.
Try something.

If you have some stores to tell, then tell them. Just stop trying to be so edgelord & G-D pretentious about it. Write what you know. One of the best hard sci-fi books (I forget the title/author) I've ever read was written by a fucking plumber. It actually was really cool. You'd be surprised how much drama you can get out of breached titanium tubing.
