Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

It doesn't surprise me that someone like Chuck who considers Vic a friend but is somewhat cynical would be berating Vic about the hearing, because half the posters here seemed intent (or still do) on blaming Ty for the situation and expecting Vic to be furious with him. If Vic isn't mad, then someone who is opinionated and feels like the situation was fumbled would then turn their anger on Vic. It's dumb, but friends aren't just super positive rabbits who only have nice things to say and always know better than to say stupid and/or hurtful things to you.

Especially if you had a friend who maybe didn't support the idea of a lawsuit in the first place, but went along with it to support you, and then that friend decided 'well look, you wasted your time and money and now you look worse!'

I think it's also worth remembering that this is a man who burned every possible bridge they had in their workplace, possibly even their whole industry, in defense of their friend. Even if you actually agreed that the situation at the workplace sucked, stating it publicly in an affidavit, complete with an inclusion that you believe revealing this information will potentially cause harm to you and your family...you're risked a lot to stand by them. Even before the hearing, he had people calling him a liar, a nutjob, crazy, a conspiracy theorist. He had people saying they'd ensure he never got invited to any cons they worked again.

A guy like that, I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt.

Oh my god will you guys stop jumping to conclusions? Yeah it's definitely possible that it was Chuck who sperged out on Vic but we can't actually confirm it. What if it turned out to be Todd Habberkorn? Congratulations you've been bashing a guy over something he didn't do. We don't know and that's important.

Chuck would be an understandable candidate in question since he's a VA and this would have been all for nothing by being honest in front of a lawyer. Of course anyone might be a bit peeved at an attorney being incompetent. But Todd also fits that bill. Even worse is that Todd has BHBH representing him on a different case. Imagine spending a good chunk of money on someone who turned out incompetent. Could also he Caitlin Glass.

I feel like the person texting Vic may not be Chuck based on what was said. We would expect Chuck to flip out a bit reading KV stuff. You guys are reading far into something that I know you know isn't your business but want to know more anyways. That's how Kiwis work. Just don't want fucking Tweets and videos over this shit damaging Chuck. Kiwis can keep being Kiwis.

Now I'm riled up about the contract stuff.

The KahmehaCon texts should have been in evidence from when they were leaked. In them they show Ron

1. Commiting Tortious Interference.
2. Defamation (claiming that Vic's arrest is imminent
3. Possible fraud (promising 25,000 sponsorship that never materialized).

If most of the cons had oral contracts that would mean they would have to be testified to in affidavits. I'm guessing the conversation in court would have gone.

"You have affidavits from Vic's agent and some of the conventions. Why couldn't you get more?"
"Some were out right hostile to us."
"I am not seeing contracts either. Just ads for Vic appearing."
"They were oral contracts. The ads show that they followed through on an agreement."
"I consider oral contracts to be about as useful as a fart in the wind. So you can't prove there was an agreement, you can't show damages and in fact provided evidence for him being a public figure. Charges dismissed."

Sorry to bring this up again. Everyone claiming "more evidence" seems to ignore that Chupp would have kept digging until he found a reason to dismiss.

Svetlana confirmed it was Chuck. Read a few pages back. She hit "agree" and "winner" on people speculating if it was Chuck.

Chuck tried to be a mediator, and it was a bad move.
Now he is sending Vic messages, but for what we know he might just be trying to keep him informed, not realizing that he's doing more harm than good.
After the affidavit he filled, I wouldn't be easily convinced that he is ill-intended.

Was seeing what Twitter was doing, then I got bored because KV is just lame. Man, I wish somebody on their side had a sense of humor. Almost as if they aren't weebs and can't meme.

And on a different note:

How has that security guard not arrested Vic for wearing that fabulous of a shirt?

Has Vic voiced any Jojo characters? He’d fit right in Part 4.

I now understand why some people might think he is gay.

Okay @Svetlana, I think you may be letting your powerlevel slip thru the cracks. You might wanna take a deep breath and concentrate in hiding it.

What he said. Best to stick to basics for the next couple days and take some time to regroup. Best not to say too much when everybody's emotions are running hot.

Off topic again, but

please tell me I am not the only one deeply unsettled by her face. Something went wrong. And it has nothing to do with her being old.
It's the asymmetry of the face, at first glace it looks like it has perfect symmetry but as you look you notice one half isn't quite the same.
