While Microsoft, Amazon, etc don't allow for their cloud servers to be used for DDoS attacks, they can be configured for such.
It is highly likely that Chelsea's script kiddies are using Azure to launch a multi-Gbps attack. Granted that the site hasn't keeled over, in part due to Cloudflare, that could also suggest that they didn't rent out many servers, and are doing this more for a scare tactic. Truly scummy. I agree with everything you've said. I just want to point out that you can protect yourself against false allegations. You can get a body cam that's in the shape of a pen. It works as a pen as well. This way you have a record of everything to prove your innocence.

I'm proud that you're not backing down, Anna. I know less about Zoe and her cliques than many other Kiwis here, but to reiterate what has, admittedly many times, already been said, this is a common tactic. Zoe's cabal will attempt things like DDoS attacks and brute force account hacking particularly hard either when Zoe is gated from being involved in something she's trying to worm her way into(revenge)or when there's unfortunate truth about her out there and she wants to shut it down hard(damage control).

I greatly appreciate your attitude in this. Not related to Zoe in particular, but all too often I've seen people cower down to scare tactics, threats, and harassment online, when what should be done is the opposite and what you're in fact doing. Save and document everything, stay public, and publicly reinforce the 'big think' that is this suddenly happening so soon after a very particular article has been published. By continuing the obvious attacks against you and your site, they are stepping further and further into a point where they can't just take it back and pretend it never happened. More and more people will see the truth.

You'd be wrong since the US and Canada have an extradition treaty in which both countries arrest criminals to be sent where their crimes were committed. Said treaty was ratified in 1971 then amended in 1972 and 1976. So yes, the US sends US citizens to Canada to stand trial for crimes committed on Canadian soil. Just like Canadian citizens get shipped to the US to stand trial for their crimes committed in the US. If Zoe did break the law of Canada she can be tried there if the US decides to arrest her for her foreign crimes. I don't know Canada's laws. That's a purtey strawman you built there. It's a shame that it'll catch fire since I never said anything of the sort. I just stated what the laws were regarding it. I made no claims about Zoe being extradited or what crimes she committed. I just provided that there is an extradition treaty in place that allows for citizens of each country to be transported to a foreign country to stand trial. That's it.

Criminal Harassment is a crime in both the US and Canada. Also, Canada and the US routinely arrest people on the other's behalf and extradite them. One of the more recent examples of this is the CFO of Huawei, who was arrested in Vancouver for crimes committed against the US. She's currently fighting extradition, but it won't work, and it has also resulted in a massive trade war between Canada and China, since Canada basically told China to suck a dick and fuck off:

So yes, it IS possible that Zoe can be arrested and charged for this, especially if the cops can obtain proof of her orchestrating the internet mob via her Twitter DMs. Zoe's Twitter DMs are the key to this. If we can get our hands on them (in MineCraft) and make them public, she's fucked. She might still escape legal prosecution but her public image will be fucked beyond repair, and that's what we really want.
