Dealing with the compromise

Man, there's more than one hotmail account on there.
But, i guess if you're still using a hotmail account at this point, it's probably so full of spam and garbage that you won't be able to tell any difference.
You can still make new hotmail accounts today. They and outlook.com accounts make good short term burner emails because they will work for 7 days with zero verification.

Fuck the NZ pigs. I
Isn't KF blocked from NZ?
How could there be any NZ IP's in the leak?
If it's not blocked and you live in NZ and still rawdogging this site after the christchurch thing then wow

Well I also do recommend that if your personal email address has been compromised in these leaks then I highly recommend to just simply transfer all of your personal online accounts to a new personal email account and once you've done so then delete your current personal email address afterwards.

Now me personally I use Protonmail for all of my social media, online shopping, video game, and online banking needs and Protonmail does work with most of the online services out there and their own VPN also has a free version of it that can let you use servers three different countries too and also looking at the leaks the free version of their VPN was good enough to hide my own ass.

And I also use Null's Lolcow Email service only for my Kiwi Farms account so that in the event of leaks no one will really know who I really am and it now looks like that I've made the smart choice back then.

So the moral of the story here is use a good VPN and use a burner email account so that your actual identity doesn't get compromised.
How good is ProtonVPN and are you sure it's free? I'm testing it and it says I'm using the trial version that will expire at some point. :\

It will expire, but that only means you can't freely choose from all available options anymore. They still have plenty of free servers in many countries. Connection might be slower after the trial expires but it will work. I use it as well.

Well, it's over for me now. Might as well...

And my cat, obviously.

If you're looking to pay for a VPN, do yourself a favour and get a 2-in-1. Protonmail + ProtonVPN (mail and vpn) or Dashlane + Dashlane VPN (password manager + vpn).

FYI dashlane sux though, the client on Windows and Android is terrible. I made the stupid decision switching from LastPass, based on the fact it's open source (or was)

Good to know, thank you. How slow is it after the trial? Is it that noticeable?

It is sometimes, yeah. I would recommend buying the full version if you plan to use it all the time. I only use it to browse the farms and some other sites, and it's fine to basically just read forums. It is noticeable if you plan to do anything requiring more bandwidth, though.

If you pay for a decent VPN with good client software, you can pretty much run it all the time without noticing anything extremely considerable in terms of speed. It's definitely noticeable but barely. But you get a bit of peace of mind. I keep mine on pretty much all the time.
