Btw, I love how fucking specific the financial aid must be:

- it can't be cheers, because he won't get that money until October 15th
- it can't be subs, because he won't get that money until October 15th
- it can't be through a Patreon pledge, because he won't get that money until sometime next month
- it can't be tips because that goes straight to his overdrafted bank account
- it can't be through Teespring, because (I assume) that money goes straight into his bank account as well

It must be PSN credits, and PSN credits only.

Still needs $16 (actually $20) in PSN credits and he refuses to buy BL3 until then.

Honestly him playing Borderlands 3 is a waste of time. He's not going to take advantage of the co-op and it seems like the content starts to drag on bit according to reviews, the end game is shallow and the value is playing the campaign over and over to get better loot. This is not a game for this dude and he should skip it. I think that if he doesn't get the money tonight he'll use reviews as an excuse to not get it, then someone "special" will give him a game code for it.

Has DSP mentioned yet whether or not he's going to play the Link's Awakening Remaster? I don't think I could watch him destroy one of my favorite childhood games. Then again, I haven't actually watched him play any games lately to be fair.

Agreed, he doesn't have the patience for these times of games and if he hits a wall in terms of difficulty he will bitch about potentially grinding. Look at his Dragon Quest stream where he whined for a good 30 minutes about the fact that the enemies got harder and he needed to grind for a bit. He doesn't have the personality to carry such a long game like BL3.

If he is looking for big hits he's better off playing the exclusives on the console platforms and that should be his "hardcore gaming season", he would get good in his world day 1 views and he would pull in the "special" fanboys who would throw money his way. If you look right now on Twitch you'll see that there are a group of streamers that have early access. So DSP views are going to be shit and DSP is going to cry about it. DId money exchange hands, for some, yes (Gearbox has a streamteam so it was known for a while). Others have an influencial channel with the personality to carry the play-through.

Bottom line DSP playing Borderlands 3 is a waste of time.

I'm too lazy to go back and check (and also just because DSP says something doesn't mean it's true; he has to lie to protect the family you know), but we do have records in another thread that he's at least paid the August property taxes. So DSP isn't a total moron. Whether or not he's still paying the mortgage I have no idea, but in my head, I have vague memories that he at least said that he wasn't paying it anymore.

I would say that the evidence that he paid the August property taxes means it's likely he is still paying the mortgage because they are both lumped together and DSP seems too lazy to figure out a way to pay the taxes separately.

If he took out a FHA loan on the OG Khan-dough, property taxes are built into your mortgage payment & placed in escrow, then paid on your behalf at the appropriate time.

Ergo, if A) it is a FHA loan; & B) public records reflect that his property taxes were paid in one fell swoop & not in chunks, then I'd say it's a safe assumption that he lied (omgnowairite?!) & never did stop making payments on Snort Fort Numero Uno.

Because you're absolutely right, he did say that he was officially shittin the bed on making payments on the CN place, & he definitely started blathering on about that after his wedding (though I can't be fucked to go find a link to him saying it, either.)

Edit: Looks like someone already bought the last $20 credit needed (the date of last purchased changed from 11th to 12th, so presumably someone in the eastern EU area? It is amazing how shamelessly he begs, but shit, it works just about every time, so why wouldn't he?

Borderlands is a pretty shit series overall IMHO and the only fun to be had with them is playing with friends. So of course Phil will play solo because he can't help but shoot himself in the foot with every decision he makes.

Is it even a surprise anymore that he somehow manages to afford every AAA title he expresses any interest in?

I mean, it's equally likely that he just buys them himself regardless of any amount of donations or that his pigs actually never fail to cough up for them. I guess this might be the game that will revitalize his brand?

I'm really curious if he'll play it solo, which will be ungodly boring, or if he'll let the usual cadre of screeching mods and hangers-on (who were expected to pay for the game with their own money, and will likely still donate to Phil during the streams) lead him through with overleveled characters like what happens when anyone co-ops with him these days.

Either way it's gonna be fucking terrible and not worth the shame added to his psyche this week and I'm here for that.

To me, conversely, it's $60 he doesn't have to spend on something he despises. I want DSP to have to spend his own money on video games. It makes him more miserable and salty and therefore more entertaining. When he has to use his own money for his "business" is when he's most whiny when he gets a low ROI and to me that's hilarious.
