Yeah I'm not denying that there are probably zoophiles fucking dolphins and monkeys, just that most of them don't give a shit whether the animal they're screwing is supposedly capable of enjoying it or not. Despite zoos arguing that it's "consensual", they go by availability of prey rather than specific fixations for "intelligent" animals who are capable of understanding or enjoying sex for the sake of sex.I'm sure there are sick fucks out there who want to fuck apes and monkeys, but there definitely are people who want to fuck dolphins. Even one of the Bad Dragon people got caught with irl dolphin porn with his damn name on it. Captive ones, no less. Ones that are probably literally mentally ill from boredom/unnatural environments etc
A dude who fucks dogs on the reg will try a dolphin if he has access to a dolphin, and visa versa, because he doesn't actually give a fuck about consent or whether the animal is capable of enjoying the sex vs. behaving a certain way because they're groomed to.
Say there are two kids, one twelve and one six. The twelve-year-old has done seventh-grade sex-ed and is barely entering puberty and has some kind of idea of what sex is. Some (pedophiles) would even argue that since the twelve-year-old is potentially able to get pregnant or impregnate someone then they must therefore quantify as an adult. The six-year-old, by comparison, has virtually no understanding of sex beyond schoolyard shit at best and is incapable of genuine sexual response.
A pedophile would argue that since the twelve-year-old is capable of understanding what sex is and potentially dealing with the risks (pregnancy, STD, whatever) then they are therefore capable of consent. Yet that same pedophile would still probably go after the six-year-old because six-year-olds are uneducated by comparison and far less likely to be able to identify grooming behaviors and manipulation due to their lack of lived experience, making them easier to victimize. Six-year-olds (and twelve-year-olds as well, although not as much) are deeply reliant on positive affirmation from adults because they're wired to require it; it ensures their continued survival. Pedophiles know this and exploit it for their own benefit, regardless of how they might argue that kids are capable of understanding what sex is and therefore consent. Because at the end of the day, the "sex awareness = consent" argument is a smokescreen for pedophiles to argue for their right to fuck kids, and not actually because the sex benefits the kids themselves in any possible way.
Applying this basic concept to zoophiles isn't difficult either, since even the most intelligent animals (dolphins, bonobos, etc.) have the IQ of a twelve-year-old in the best case scenario; and with domestic animals (such as dogs) being bred to be dumbed-down intentionally into a state of easily-manipulated and groomed obedience it's even more insidious to argue that they're able to consent "because they can respond sexually".
