Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

These types of people pose more of a threat to the U.S. and to the rest of the world than Donald Trump if they were given the power to do this.

Well he's right about one thing, the U.S. government has nukes but nuking your own citizens would be seen as a whole new level of cruelty that would then make the rest of the world back the overthrow of the U.S. government because by that point the U.S government would then simply prove itself to be unfit to rule over its own people and they would pose a huge danger to the rest of the world too.

Forget the "PR" problem for the government, there's also just the problem that nuking the breadbasket and manufacturing base of your nation is a good way to not have a nation any more.

If I'm in a situation where I need to use a weapon to defend myself, I don't want a fair fight. If someone breaks into my home with a revolver, do you think I want a revolver? Nah, I want a semi-automatic, a shotgun or a rifle. I'm not trying to even the odds for the other guy and give him a chance. I mean, Hillary sure as hell didn't even the odds for Epstein.
Just to be that guy, but a double action revolver (which is pretty much all modern revolvers) technically is a semi-automatic weapon.

I've always loved that argument and similarly always been baffled as to why carrying a gun in your purse isn't just Feminism 101 for that very reason. You can be 8 feet tall and pumped up with every steroid on the planet, but if the woman points a gun at your head and pulls the trigger, absolutely none of that matters. Firearms are the great equalizer and the perfect deterrent against would-be attackers for women, and yet every feminist I've ever met in my entire life is steadfastly against owning a firearm.

I've never understood it.
Pretty sure that's how their twisted ideological priorities work. Some variation on the progressive stack, I suppose. The assailant potentially getting killed is a worse violation of human rights than the victim certainly getting hurt, therefore guns bad. It boggles my mind.

Successful self-defense results in fewer victims for advocates to use as a soapbox.

No remorse!

Sorry--I've been out of the loop for a while, but I've almost caught up with the Trump drama I've missed. But one thing I still don't understand is "Sharpiegate," perhaps because the controversy is so benign, I physically cannot make heads or tails of it as a self defense mechanism. Can anyone give a brief rundown about what happened?

The mainstream media originally put Alabama in the path of the hurricane in more than a few projections. Trump made a statement using a map showing the projected path of the hurricane and drew a tiny line arching out towards Alabama that wasn't on the original map since the projection had changed by then. Alabama still had a very minor chance of being in the hurricane's path, but it was >5%.

The MSM absolutely lost its shit and insisted that at no point was Alabama a part of the projections and went apeshit on Trump for drawing on the map because it "incited public panic" and was "just further evidence of Trump's instability." Considering that inciting panic is basically all the media has done for the last century the irony is palpable, but the gist of it is that the worst that could really be said is that Trump's interpretation of the data was outdated by a few days by the time he held the presser.

They could have just corrected him and said "Although the President has indicated that there's a chance that the hurricane's effects could reach Alabama, current data shows that to be incredibly unlikely." But if they did that, they wouldn't have been able to light their hair on fire and run in circles all week.

A revolver would be more "quick-draw", as you would only need one hand to at least operate.
A shotgun, you'd need to account to distance and recoil along with spread.
A rifle is better long range. Maybe if he was running away, you may have a change.

If you're in a conflict on the street, preparing an AR-15 would take a lot of time. A handgun would be more veritable in that situation.
Six bullets... more than enough to kill anything that moves...

I personally just find it hilarious that the same people (a.k.a. "feminists") who claim they want to make me "equal" to men are still in a hot hurry to take away the one weapon that actually does make me equal to a male attacker. Superior speed and upper-body strength mean nothing if I can maim or kill you from across the room.

But as populated as leftist bastions are with actual rapists, I suspect that's the idea.
But encouraging women to own firearms to defend themselves would be opening the door to icky victim blaming. Women should not need guns to defend themselves from men (now imagine those obnoxious clapping emojis in between every word of that sentence.)

A lot of this ideology is based on the fact that "well, these bad things SHOULDN'T be happening in the first place so I refuse to take personal responsibility because it isn't fair" No, it isn't fair that people do horrible things, but they do exist and it's smart to take protecting yourself into your own hands.

Also, with the kind of rapists on the left just hearing that their would-be victim has a gun would be enough to send them running.

In my opinion, the funniest part of the whole thing is him outright trolling CNN and the MSM on Saturday with that cat meme and sending them all back into a frothing rage.

Quoting @Cubanodun below, whom previously posted it, in case you missed it.

He really is the troll in chief. 😂

Ah crap. She's black.

Now the MSM's gonna spend a week saying "Trump attacks minority worker from the MSM. He's such a racist for doing this."

I remember I made a joke once where it was basically Tramp pointing at a CNN truck outside of the White House, and him saying "Hey, the fake news media is at it again" and then using a Spongebob "hours later" joke, it's basically CNN reporting about him pointing at the truck, said truck containing a black guy with the conspiracies and racial accusations popping from there. It really does feel like that sometimes.

Here's an actual example of what you guys keep trying to set up hypothetically. Two white women are running a liquor store, and Tyrone is wanted for multiple robbieries in that area. The two women grab their guns, and dump every bullet they have into him. He continues to advance on the women, beating them, and even stealing one of their empty guns out of their hands and turning it on them. He's doing all this with multiple bullets in his body and blood gushing out of him. He's still arguing with them while trying to kill them.

After this ordeal, he walked himself to the hospital and survived. Believe it or not, mammals aren't as fragile as people think they are. The combination of panicked, inaccurate shooting and a small caliber weapon resulted in a really ineffective means of defense. Just by looking at the video, the older woman has a J-frame .38 revolver, and the younger woman has a small saturday night special, probably in .380. Both underpowered calibers in mine and most state and federal law enforcement's opinion.

I wouldn't say it's ineffective, but it's useful if you want to spare time to get away from someone that is actively trying to hurt you. It's like when you (not to force a video game comparison), stun a Pokemon, where they are still attacking you, but they are slower because they are paralyzed or in a situation where wounds can occur.

Drop out already Beto. You couldn’t beat Ted Cruz and there’s no way you’ll get primary nomination. Your pandering is very transparent.
If only there was something that those brave "women" could have owned and used to possibly prevent their own deaths. Oh well, I guess there's ju-wait hold on. 18? Nigga there were 17,000 homicides in 2017, and you're campaigning on 18? Unless you're saying that trannies make up less than 0.1% of the population, then they have a better time with not getting killed than other demographics. And if you are saying that they make up 0.1% or less, then why the fuck are you focusing on this so much instead of, I dunno, jobs?

If the hydrostatic shock doesn't blow their fingers and toes off, the caliber is too small.
Which is why the standard for carry with Americans has been 9mm every since almost every law enforcement agency in the country found the .38 revolver to be an awful choice for a primary weapon in a gun fight. I'm maybe power leveling a bit, but I carry a different caliber in summer than I do in winter, as there's a number of recorded instances of standard handgun calibers bouncing off/being stopped by layers of winter clothes. That's why the FBI ballistic testing standard is to put 3 layers of denim in front of their ballistics gel target because something as insignificant as a little bit of fabric can have physics altering effects on the behavior of a fired round. I speculate that's why so many European criminals deck themselves out in motorcycle riding gear before a robbery, as most of the Euro countries that can own guns are restricted by only being allowed to own very small and ineffective calibers. .22 CAN be very effective, but effectiveness often falls on the shooter and not the firearm, and the vast majority of gun owners don't spend the time training to qualify themselves to effectively defend themselves with a gun. The fucking IDF uses .22 rifles as a non-lethal option for of riot control, lol. If you wanna start shaking fences in the west bank, you're gonna catch a .22 to the shin so you can hobble off like an asshole instead of bleeding out and dying.

Bullets kill in two ways that usually go hand in hand: Blood loss and shock. If you are on drugs, or a fucking mutant, and you don't go into shock it can take a long time for blood loss to kill you.

"Superior speed and upper body strength"
Well I for one can not believe this sexist and gender essentialist speech I am hearing right now.
Don't you know that men and women are equal in every way including physical attributes?
I base this, of course, on Hollywood movies where 130 pound waifs effortlessly beat up NFL linebackers.
Besides if you lived in a gated suburb like me and my forward thinking friends do you wouldn't have to defend yourself with an icky gun.
