Minor example, but I found this out in the wild being sold for six USD. The male signs like saggitarius were all muscular and fit, while the female ones were in this dumpy doughy style. I only took a pic of this one because that leg hair is atrocious and really drags down the overall image. Unless Aquarius is associated with leg hair, then my bad.

It's hard for me to pinpoint what I really don't like about the art style but it's unpleasant to look at it. The heads and ears are too big, the bodies look like blocks rather than real bodies and it has an over all lazy vibes. The characters are Sailor Moon, and Hatsune Miku. That Sailor Moon outfit is the ugliest so far whit no imagination put into it but visually it's the better looking one at least.

If I’ve learned anything from this odd art movement it’s that a realistic woman is a dumpy bag of flesh that’s covered in coarse body hair. Are grotesquely below-average expectations supposed to feel any better than absurdly above-average expectations?

It’s well enough drawn but kinda funny that all white cast looks more variet than the burger king kids club version. I guess that can’t be really helped when white people in real world have more hair and eye color variety to than other groups. One could do the anime thing and give people unnaturally high variety of hair colors and stuff but that would mean putting pleasant colors and design over virtue signaling. Still let’s who is who, muslim is the sexy lady one, the tall sporty one is asian, nerdy smart one is black but the stoner coward one is left white. Interesting.

Black Velma looks horrible. There has been few black Velmas in this tread but this might the worst design vise. The head area is way too busy: afro, big earnings, head band, big lips, freckles, orange jacket, white shirt and necklace. It just doesn’t look uniform, nice nor brings Velma mood. Her original design is very simple, memorable and cute kinda like a kid in too big clothes way. This one has classes and some orange and red but otherwise looks nothing like Velma. If I had seen the other designs on their own I could have connected them Scoopy Doo but Velma misses the mark too much. Also am I the only one that see freckles draw on black character as zits? Because that’s what sorts of spots I see on black peoples skin most often and their zits tend to look very dark.

Why couldn’t musim Daphne’s head scarf be in color that fits to her original design and over all color scheme? Orange, light purple or lime green would be more Daphne and look better. The dull brown that’s too close to her skin tone really looks bad. Otherwise this is probably pretty close how Daphne would dress if she was a muslim, following the standards of her community but with western style twist, and as fashionable and sexy as allowed without looking too slutty. Although I don’t see her getting a nose pearsing.

See, I love this show because it does involve things like LGBTQ+, autism etc messages or themes, but in a way that doesn't smash you in the face with it like an obvious brick. Unlike this 'artwork'.
