I think this mediation shit isn't gonna end well for Vic.
That's just my opinion.

Especially with the whole death threats deal.

I think the defense is going to be unbearable to work with and absolutely throw a fit about it and not want to reach a conclusion. And Chupp will rule in their favor anyway because of this shit.

Proves he's extra fucking lazy for letting them have a bitchfest while refusing to look over all the evidence.

My prediction: Defendants will tell whoever offering settlements to either take the settlements and shove it, or force them to accept whatever settlement that’ll let Vic be unpersoned and let them get away somewhat cleanly. Also, Funimation might not play along because any settlements might involve throwing VAs under the bus and/or giving dirt on House Sabat.

Either way it's going to accomplish literally nothing unless Chupp set this up to observe the parties interacting with one another to see who gets the most assmad and then steamroll them.
But that would imply him doing his job.

Like I know women who either went into dancing, did cheerleading, or modeling. Like these girls actually work HARD to maintain a healthy shape and fit body. They put a lot of effort into staying in shape, working out, and looking their best.

They actually kind of LOVE what they do. They chose that lifestyle or career. They put in effort like any person who cares about their job. They’re proud they have self control and can maintain a beautiful body and take extra care of themselves to stay fit.

Who are you to put these women down you old hag? Are you jealous they’re beautiful and happy while you’re a miserable shrew? Are you jealous people love them and not you? Or maybe you’re bitter they actually work at their job and are good at it while you’re a talentless journalist? Who knows.

Also the Cowboys suck, why would you get rid of the only thing on that team that actually does their job right?

Then again that kinda circles right back to Vic in a way. We all know they’re jealous of Vic. He’s more popular, works hard at his job, is proud of the effort and work he puts into it, and pretty. While they’re all ugly, bitter, nowhere near as popular, and lazy that just want to do just an okay job instead of their best.

I am disagreeing because i think vic would not take something that would keep his reputation damaged, but here is a consolation prize if that truly does happen. Monica and ron are still on the hook for a lot of money to their lawyers. Also vic will still get invites and job offers. Also the battered womens shelter will get a good chunk in donations.

edit: also the sacred ointment jokes and other funileaks aint going away and we have the olympics 2020 to look forward to and all the memes to come from it.

Circlejerk aside, I trust Ty to go for anything that means Vic's maximum benefit, were both parties had to settle. If not, well, I guess appeals...
Also, who knows, maybe Chupp actually does something right for once

My first thought on hearing about this mediation was it meant that defamation was still on the table, because why would he order mediation on an issue he's going to dismiss? What you're saying is the other thought I had; that it's a threat to both attorneys to see who acts in the least "good faith" manner and hold that against them in his ruling. I have no clue of the legality of this strategy from the judge's angle, but it's interesting to infer his motivations this way.
