I disagreed cause well I've found that to be an imperfect train of thought. Sometimes it's low self-esteem in your own self worth. But ehh... I would say the train of thought still has merits in a number of cases

I believe he originally went in with the goal of clearing his name, but that's well out the window since the camps have already been made. He's doing it at this point to prevent other people from hopping on the bandwagon against him and to make them think twice about smearing him in the future.

Story wise it seemed that Qrow is about to be killed off. Vic is a perfect fit for Qrow and I would prefer to keep Vic because this whole situation has tarnished the show now.

Eh, one guy on YouTube who talks RWBY and has a Discord I'm in says that Qrow's voice is a voice that can be done by anybody.

just Qrow? Rooster Teeth is going to kill off the show, have salem win and flip off the audience, and proceed to shit on fans for decades to come after liquidating their assets because they're bleeding worse than a side character in a 90's anime.

note: I'm kidding obviously. being real though, killing Qrow off and ending the story as soon as possible, even just bad ending it is likely. Rooster Teeth is starting to lose supporters leaving them with just investors... which who knows how that will play out. if they even have that. If they don't? I doubt volume seven will even launch.
