Mainstream comics are failing, woke rags (gaming-related or not) are failing, fucking Star Wars is failing. Who cares if she gets to be captain of a sinking ship for a year?. I've seen a tweet of her claiming something like that, but it was in response to people asking her about her kickstarter game. So she made a hysterical "I'm a victim" response saying she's gotten two part time jobs to pay for the development of the game because the kickstarter money was not enough. Not sure if it was before or after her Japan trip or plastic surgeries.

So I'm putting it up as a lie, unless there's some other tweet of her talking about that.

I don't think video game journalism was always garbage, although it's always had it's flaws, but used to be 1000 times better.

It threatened to get really good around 2006/2007/2008, that's when it was maturing and taking games more seriously as an art form and for some outlets trying to be unbiased.

But then it quickly got hijacked by left wing politics and that was all she wrote.

It's sad, I miss the days when you could rely on gaming journalism to help guide you through the hobby, while it was always best to sometimes trust your own instincts on a game rather than always go by reviews, it was still nice to have some type of guiding hand.

what happened in the late 2000s and early 2010s wasn't that they suddenly got "hijacked by left wing politics".
what happened was that video games magazines in the form of print media got displaced by internet reporting, and with that came along the displacement of actual qualified and enthusiastic writers who worked for the print publications by talentless bloggers who wrote for the news sites.

with that change in personnel came a general decline in quality and standards, a change towards clickbaity and dishonest reporting, and increased influence of (left wing) politics.

Her association to any project from now on guarantees the type of outrage that can't be marketed for any type of profit or high ground that would make it worth the bother. She managed to make whole demographics of potential nerdy customers, who were formerly apathetic or allied to her politically/ideologically, now hate her just as much, if not more so, than the altright/mra dudebro axis she so valiantly resisted during the gaminggate apartheid.

the only reason anybody would ever support her to begin with is if they are neck-deep into 'believe women' ideology, and the people who are on board with that just see the holowka situation as some vile misogynist rapist getting what he deserved. they may not state it outright because "i'm glad that guy is dead" is still a bit too crass of a statement to be palatable to the general public, and it kinda goes against their constant virtue signaling about mental health, but they certainly feel that way on the inside.

Pretty sure she's already tried some low-tier wrestling training that's tied to a nowhere federation, and she got exactly nowhere, because they probably didn't think she could be non-performing talent, like Elizabeth, or any of the other eye-candy that populated 80s/90s wrestling.
