Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

"He's not hurting the people he needs to be" will legit always stay with me. It's tribal. It's nightmare fuel. It perfectly encapsulates the pure bitterness and hatred some people have for their fellow wo/man.

We can talk about The_Donald and basement-dwelling, incel, cultish, slavishly devoted, I-have-something-very-vital-missing-in-my-life (aka companionship) behavior, but that mindset of lashing out, punishing and hurting people because they think or look differently to you is so very human, and so very flawed. We really are a fucked-up race.
Who said that? That's fucked up.

I expect him to win in 2020 because the Democrats are inept when it comes to winning.

I guess we'll see but so far they are acting out every bit of the loser script that has been losing them elections for the last 20 years, Obama being about the only major counter-example.

Just your common-or-garden Trump supporter.
But there's plenty more links.
That's a weird way to think...although I think you might be filling in the racism part yourself, but then imagining what on Earth was going through someone's head is always a losing game.
That's a good way to make sure politics sucks. It's not actually a zero sum game, you can help some people without hurting others...

But hey that wasn't from the Donald. Or do you basically pull any insanely pro Trump stuff here? The Donald isn't the goldmine it used to be.

Have these guys chimped out about Greta Thunberg since she’s arrived here to North America?

Probably. Climate change deniers are as retarded as flat earthers and young earth creationists.

What would supporting or not supporting Trump after 2024 even mean? Or do you mean just thinking he's really great?

I imagine most people will be obsessed with the new candidates and Trump will fade into obscurity like the other ex presidents.

The ones who are supporting his policies now, that will backtrack on those policies when he is no longer president (either 2021 or 2025). The GOP is really, really fucked up, but the one thing they're great at is mobilizing and getting support from their base. The Democrats are less fucked up, but their fans cost them more elections than anything.

If I was in Vegas and they had odds up, I would put a shit ton of money on Trump winning next year. The elements that caused Trump to win have not only not gone away, but have gotten worse.

Lol yeah buddy, ok. This is just pathetic. I'm trying to laugh at Trump being a clown but this lefty circle jerk has left the realm of self awareness.
Aren't we supposed to be laughing at idiots. "The Dems are less fucked up". Whoo boy, which pretend impeachment investigation are we on now?
What happened to laughing at shit? Crying isn't laughing...

1. People are allowed to hold whatever opinions they want, and "The Democrats are holding a hearing to see if there is grounds to impeach" and "The Democrats are less bad than the GOP" are not contradictory statements. I understand you think these hearings are illegitimate or a waste of time, but there are reasoned arguments otherwise.
2. This is the thread for laughing at Donald Trump's fanbase being crazy, not at the Democratic voter base being crazy. Go to the TDS thread if you want that rather than trying to turn this thread into TDS 2.

I have a new favourite #MAGAgrift, getting some good traction on /r/t_d and MAGAtard Twitter.

#MAGACHALLENGE is all about owning the libs by posting short rap clips so cringy that liberal heads will explode with rage over the sheer level of cooning on display.

Glad to see that Qwaan Candace is not acknowledging this crap, confirming she is not just beautiful but smart too.

Well of course they are. But he barely mentioned Trump, it was a "Democrats are so much better than stupid republicans, and climate change skeptics are idiots" post. All he said about Trump was he'll probably win.
Is this a lefty hugbox or a place to make fun of Trump worshipping lolcows, plus the orange man (bad) himself?
Just calling it like I see it, this thread isn't the place to talk about Democrats, but I didn't bring them up. That's more deep thoughts worthy...

There's no doubt there's lefty weirdos and the left is being retarded, too, but this thread is about Trump supporters being idiots (which they are) and one of those positions Trumpers usually have is that climate change is fake (it's not)

I read that quote a few months ago and it’s stuck with me ever since. Instead of wanting to lift people up, diehard Trump supporters want to tear people down and lash out at everyone they don’t like. You’re right, it’s pure tribalism. “My side is right and if you’re not on my side you deserve to be punished.”

Another example I read about that’s stuck with me is an article (I tried finding it again for like 10 minutes but I’m on mobile so it’s hard; if I find it again I’ll update) about a guy with aggressive cancer living in a state that had recently voted against a law that would have enabled him to get much cheaper healthcare. Despite drowning in medical debt, the guy said he was glad the law didn’t pass because if it did it would also benefit “welfare queens and Mexicans.” This dude was so hateful he’d literally rather have crippling debt and then die than to have people outside of his group getting the same benefits he would have gotten. I’ve rarely heard of anything so spiteful.

Pretty much this.

All this polarizing tribalism on both sides is utterly abhorrent, and while the left is more vocal, active, and visible these days, that does not absolve the assholes and morons on the right.

I'm a centrist and I don't really have a party affiliation anymore, despite being a lifelong Democrat prior to 2016. Even then, just because I abandoned the Democrats for being batshit insane doesn't mean I'm going to automatically switch sides to the Republicans. They've got their own loons as well. Even if the Religious Right is more or less dead, I'm sure a new right-wing brand of insanity will pop up once the SJW zeitgeist dies off. America is built on the pendulum effect.

Hell, the only reason why I am probably going to vote for Trump in 2020 is because I live in a swing state and he's the least horrible of many horrible candidates. I'd vote for Tulsi Gabbard if she actually had a chance against the DNC's pick, whomever that may be (probably Warren or Biden)

If I lived in a solidly red or blue state, I'd vote third party and call it a day. Besides, if Trump wins in 2020, maybe it could get the Democrat bigwigs to pull their heads out of their asses and stop listening to the SJW crowd.

Political discourse got exponentially worse when it started being seen as a sports team rivalry.

Of course, now it's gotten so bad, it's more of a gang rivalry these days.

Given how polarized this election was I'm sure if Hillary won we'd have HDS and r/Hillidawg threads here instead.

Stupidity and tribalism isn't restricted to the Democrats, I still remember the throbbing asshurt from Republicans when Obama won. And how just like the Dems with Trump they tried to stonewall everything he did.

I'd vote for Tulsi if she was on the ballot regardless as a protest vote against the DNC.

I still consider myself Leftwing, I'm not going to abandon my beliefs just because it's inconvenient because the party and it's supporters are acting like children now.

Like you said the Left will eventually lose control of the Zeitgeist and we'll do this same song and dance on the Right.

I only consider myself a centrist because the rest of the Left has shifted to the extreme.

Ten years ago, I would've firmly considered myself a leftist.

When the SJW craze dies out for good and the Left cools down and the Democrats try to distance themselves from the SJW's like how the Republicans have been distancing themselves from the old guard Evangelical types, I might start to call myself a leftist again.

Hence why I support the more Moderate candidates who are willing to call the DNC and it's darlings on their bullshit like Gabbard and Delaney.
