It's somewhat unlikely RAINN would give much details about recent donations, but it's possible someone could inquire to see if they've received any donations of around that amount from someone in NC or such. Of course, the moment you disprove Greg donating to RAINN he'll just say 'I haven't sent it YET!' and act like a victim.

Or hope it finally gets him sued.

I wonder if people realize that continuing to try to suicide him via social media hurts themselves, as you can certainly argue that every person who blindly jumps into 'Vic man bad' because of this could lend more weight to the damages - that there's ongoing damages caused by Monica et al's statements. Every con that cancels Vic because of Jennifer's rape squads, every new checkmark and media outlet that jumps in and signal boosts 'he's such a rapist' should certainly be considered signs of just how much damage those statements made and how much it continues to be made while they keep defaming him/refusing to retract.

The transcript of the mediation order telling the plaintiff and the defendant and possibly the people watching that THIS IS NOT AN ANIME is funnier and more interesting than who is bad and good within the iswv community. There is a little discussion of the mediation but its like 10 pages back. I went back 20 pages in this thread and didn't find the transcript and that thread you linked is entirely speculation about the case with very little actually in it. My point was that the people posting hundreds of times in this thread are too obssesed and miss some of the funniest parts of this case. There is nothing in existence that is so funny that is deserves 2835 pages in like 6 months. I really liked the judge telling the weebs to get fucked because this is real life because its so damn wacky. That is what a thread should be made up of. I know the posters here will never change and there is no point trying to make this thread funny or even readable again. This thread is 2500 pages past salvageable. I'm just sad because something that should be really funny is impossible to get to. KF is meant to be a place you can read an archive of something but I will never be able to read such a thing for this situation. Im never posting or reading this thread afterwards so you can go back to your pointless 20 page long discussions in peace.

I keep seeing people use that term. I do not think they know what it means.

The rape scene is very implicit. You will see the goblins, they will rip the young woman's clothes, they will restrain her, you'll see the pain amd fear in her facial expression. But the axt itself is jot explicit. You see nothing beyond what I said.

Heck, you see his male adventurer companion eat it more gruesomly.

The only focus on that scene is the pain, suffering and fear it causes, and how it broke the people suffering it. It's not portrayed in a good light. It's shown to he abhorent, and that the goblins are unrepentants. It justifies all the war crimes the main character performs against the goblin.

Heck, there's an overarching theme of the priestess' faith being severely tested by Gobboslaya, where he uses her miracles in am offensive way, making her doubt that she'll retain them because she fears that the benevolent god she worships will disaprove of that usage.

The world is pretty vast. It's fauna is varied and dangerous. You'll hear about how other adventurers want to graduate quickly from killing weak monsters, to reach the big ones who'll give them fame and fortune. But the show's centered around a young man who got everything he knew and loved taken away from hkm in a seriously gruesome goblin raid. He has a vendetta, and he has experience of how goblins, when left unchecked, will be the worst case senario for the average citizen. Sure, demon lords and dragons are bad, but they're localized calamities. Goblins are the equivalent of hogs in the US: left unchecked, they will ruin everything, and they already reached critical mass.

Not really. The judge has however called her back in for mediation. Not sure if it is because he realized he did an oopsie, or because she might be pulled back again on appeal later. But we'll see. It's a waiting game now.

Wrong, it happens on screen, it's explicit. The fact that the camera angle doesn't show you porn doesn't make it implicit.
Implicit is when it doesn't happen on screen, when character only talk about it happening (which is the case for later events).

EDIT: You're thinking I said "explicit porn", I did not, I said "explicit rape scene", the scene itself is not implied, it's shown.

They are known for putting warnings in front of episodes that might have more "extreme" content, for some reason there was none for Goblin Slayer episode one. People who were animeonly received quite a shock and took to forums/twitter to voice their upset and give warnings about content that crunchyroll normally has from the start. It spread from there until, can't remember 100%, crunchyroll had to release an apology for their fuck up days after it happened.

Honestly, I don't think it would have mattered if the warning had been there from the beginning. There was a content warning when I watched it and when the "extreme content" happened my thought was "OH, they weren't messing around with that warning earlier". I think many anime fans got desensitized to warnings after really bland anime & manga got slapped with 18+ stickers back in the day.

I think Chupp really, really wants to punt on this case. He's likely praying that there's a settlement (which I'd be shocked if there was). I'd say there's a really small chance that he doesn't file the dismissals and brings it all back to trial to try to force a mediation for one simple reason: he REALLY doesn't want to rule on the defamation charge, period.

He's between a rock and a hard place on that. On the one hand, if he rules in favor of Vic, then he's going to have a bunch of dangerhairs sperging on him for being anti-wahmen. OTOH, if he rules in favor of Monica,et.al. then he's backing a bunch of hearsay allegations some of which have been denied by the supposed "victims" at a time when lots of Republicans are ginned up over what's going on with SCOTUS re: Kavanaugh. In a worst case, appeals stretch this into 2021 or even 2022 and he gets a real primary challenge (ran unopposed in 2018 ) with people making hay comparing this case to the Kavanaugh stuff, because Republicans (especially in Texas) can easily get ginned up over two current Federal issues: the border wall & Kavanaugh.
