Hard to say. The illusions about their future is the main reason for them to keep things as they are. Wings thought that surgery will change his life, but didn't do shit for that and now this opportunity is wasted. Also, I'm pretty sure Phil is depressed as well, at least he talks about "muh depression" all the time. As for Boogie, he has no reasons to be sad, he is getting what he wants and probably will get until his early grave.

I finished the Down the Rabbit Hole vid yesterday. Better than Jim's video, I didn't realize the origins of Keemstar and Dr. Disrespect. My only issue is that Fred focused too much time on that one COD match. About 20 minutes of the video is dedicated to it.

I do agree that the Down the Rabbit Hole vid was much better than Jim's video. I think that comes down to Down the Rabbit Hole being a more in depth look at the topics/events/people covered. I didn't like the full play by play of the syndicate 1v1 however I understand why he did it. That was the first time people really got to see wing's true personality. There were some indications before hand but nothing as solid as that. That really changed how alot of people saw him and was the first real taste of what his eventual streams were going to be.

Here is my take on Wings. I have mentioned this before in other threads but when I was younger I used to watch alot of Call of Duty commentaries. I didn't watch alot of Wings but I was very much aware of who he was and I did really like PKA back then. He is someone who got popular on youtube because he was a founding father of a genre. He is someone who doesn't really have the personality to be Internet Famous.He has always been thin-skinned when it came to comments on his videos. There was a PKA episode where Murka was a guest (before he was a co-host) and they talked about how the CoD commentators had a policy where if you attacked one of them in the comments they would all block you and this was something Wings did alot. He mentioned in that PKA episode he would community block people for calling him a "fat fuck." So this rage and him blocking/banning fans has always been there. He is also someone who always raged at games not just from what was seen in his earlier commentaries but also from stories from other commentators who played with him back in the MW2 days. This is because he takes game very seriously and believes that is directly ties to his worth as a person.

Wings' major problem is he feeds the trolls and has never learned the lesson of ignoring them or don't give them a reaction. He is someone who is not going to stop streaming until he stops making money or his channels get banned. Like Woody said in a clip from the Down the Rabbit Hole video, Wings is someone who can only think in the now and can't plan out or think of what his future will be. I also think he didn't truly realize the work that he need to do to lose weight after he got his surgery. While he has lost weight he hasn't lost nearly as much as he would have otherwise.

His personality makes him a great target for trolls and an even better target for a-loggers. Which lead to the absolute shit show that was the collapse of his troll groups after Null's stream.

I think his lack of social awareness and willingness to help those who are going after his friends are due to a lack of socialization with anyone outside of his family. I also think he may have a bit of the 'tism.

He did a series of vlogs with his family who are very interesting people. I haven't watched them in a while but I remember them being really odd.

So in short Wings' problems come down to his rage issues, him taking games super seriously and being very socially unaware.

This is just my take as someone who has known about Wings as an e-personality for almost 10 years and as a casual off and on observer and viewer of his content for a while. I have never interacted with him, just watched his stuff and am aware of his history.

I think an important distinction needs to be made between a bad person and a malevolent person.

Is Jordie a bad person? Well, he encouraged people that were bullying and terrorizing people that were supposed to be his friends, he's displayed insane levels of ingratitude, he's flown off the handle and made a ton of stupid excuses and mistreated random people, so yeah, he's probably a bad person.

But from what I've seen he doesn't seem to just fuck with people for the sheer joy of meanness. He always feels he's been wronged in some way when he gets aggressive with someone... the wrong may be in his own head, but I've never seen any of these streams, even in the troll compilation videos, where he's just like "I'm gonna find someone and fuck up their day, because fuck them for existing where I can hurt them."

So sure, Jordie's a bad person. Some of his trolls are just malevolent, though.

I always think back to the most unfunny, mean spirited troll in the world - Bluespike. There's a certain level of autism where you become more spergy than the person you're trying to fuck with.

He says that it was only several years later into his teenage years that he realized the bucket had never been moved in the 5 years since it had been placed there and that he had basically killed the kitten.

I recently rewatched the stream, I remember thinking that it was a pretty standard MATI episode until the SWITCHING SIDES, then I was in absolute tears. By far his best episode to date.

To give him the most generous benefit of the doubt, as a child, the development of his empathy and basic cause-and-effect type logic may have been delayed (retar.ded, if you will), but yeah the fact that today he recounts the story as a kind of wacky childhood hijink is kind of off putting.

He's so money fixated because it sounds like he's the only thing keeping his hillbilly clan afloat.

Nope, he recounted with a smile that his grandparents are "south type" and have no problem saying nigger. He said that word himself multiple times. He said "if my kid is gay, then pretend you are straight or I'll beat you to death". Now he claims that all was just innocent fun and he wants to live in "more blue state". (Yeah, which is more likely to be more expensive, also the type of people from places like Portland or California are well known for their incredible ability to forgive)
