Artists learn by people critiquing their work. obviously some people's word means nawt because they just want to be dickheads, but honest people who say 'i love it, i get what youre trying to convey but everyone's skinny. unnatural body proportions for normal humans' like that would be decent criticism. points if they tell you about making a skeletal structure, then baselines and then show examples of human dase lines to work off of.
Many artists, hell just decent people love gettin criticism. sure it hurts as a new artist as you might not know how to deal with it but after that hurdle, decent artists would think about it and then work on the criticism/complaints they get the most, and improve from there.
Artstyles evolve and can improve. just look at the countless draw this again/redraw me challagnes on youtube or deviantart.

Your well of relevance has gone and dried up past dust; no one wants to collaborate with you, all of your supposed content creator "friends" seem to have no interest in even the suggestion that you exist, everyone under the sun save for the dumbest motherfuckers out there has mocked your "highest rated videos" for being the dogshit narcissism and insanity piece that they are, and any mounting attention that's found itself in your direction is only due to you piggybacking on other people's content or you needlessly needling individuals of any fuck-off community you feel like taking a shit on for no apparent reason.

This is in context to the art shit, but I think it's pretty broadly applicable to everything thats happened lately.
Lily's always "not mad" so not mad they're constantly passive aggressively answrring questions about the things that they hate. The hallmark of an adjusted person.
I'd go on a tangent about the winding post DevilsAdvocate posted, but Chad and X-Shaped Weaboo covered basically everything so the only thing I can add is if lily wasn't mad she wouldn't unfailingly dish about Lizzy, or Patch, or Josh when prompted by their fans, and all three mentioned people either want to, or have moved on and are ultimately doing better than Lily ever will, which we know is what makes her mad, in a totally not mad at all way.

Making art just for shits and giggles in a sketchbook or something while not caring about the quality too much feels extremely liberating, if it comes out good? Great, maybe I'll decided to touch it up later and post it somewhere! If it doesn't? Who cares? No one is going to see it. But you see, that's the main issue with your argument here.
You decided to post your artwork. Online. For other people to see.
The moment you post a piece of art, a story, a Youtube video, a freaking tweet, ANYTHING online, you are voluntarily subjecting it to both critique and praise, and unless you post it anonymously, you are telling the world it is something you made. It doesn't matter if you're "just making this for fun" or "you're not being paid for it", Your Name Is Attached To It! You are inviting people to judge your skills as an artist based on this comic, which is currently your most popular work I believe as of today. So there's a very good chance most peoples' first impression of your ability as an artist and whether or not they might want to get commissions from you is going to be based on these comics, and judging by your Patreon, you aren't impressing very many people.
Granted, it's unreasonable to expect a single person to put as much effort and detail into every single comic frame as they would a portrait or stand alone picture, it would take days to make a comic that way, and most critics understand that. Hell, if your clever about it, you can make simplistic comics that will still be praise worthy, just look at Cyanide and Happiness or Penny Arcade, but those comics were able to find a simple, recognizable, yet still appealing style that drew people in (a bit of humor and good marketing also helped), and Mikala, you're current style isn't THAT appealing. That's why making comics is an art form, almost a medium, all onto its own, and one that takes time and effort to learn and master so you can gradually make quality comics at a relatively quick speed. Deciding you don't want to put ANY effort into improving these comics also reflects poorly on your character as an artist, I don't know if you made comic's before Poke-madhouse, but your lack of excitement or intrigue at exploring a new area is rather sad.
As for the excuse of the comic "just being a vehicle for telling the story" and that means the quality of the art doesn't matter and you shouldn't try, all I got to say is, if you're that dispassionate about it, maybe you shouldn't be making the comic in the first place. The right amount of flair, an appealing art style, or even a certain little extra feature or quality in the comic's background could mean the difference between drawing in a new reader or loosing them to the vastness of the Internet to find something else (and believe me, there's a LOT else out there). Good comic's can get people to revisit them over and over again, even just to look at the art work, maybe even inspiring them to practice by emulating what you drew (which is the HIGHEST complement you can give an artist).
I feel like Mikala got this idea that the quality of the comics art not being that important from Lily, what with his belief of "art barely matters, story is what's really important". To that I say, well... I don't know about you, but I don't think I'd watch something that looked like Problem Solvers even if someone told me it was the best show of all time.
