Manosphere Jordan Peterson - Internet Daddy Simulator, Post-modern Anti-postmodernist, Canadian Psychology Professor, Depressed, Got Hooked on Benzos

Deleted my other post as I realized, I am not in the mood to debate "who is worse" right now.

But, my theory is that Peterson lost steam not so much because he is being labeled "alt right", but rather because all the anti-sjws, including him, have failed miserably to reach younger audiences.

SJWs are playing the long game. You might have noticed how some are blatantly saying that their goal is to just wait for the current generation to die and win by taking over with the new generation. Like it or not, SJWs have the advantage with young people by having control of universities and pretty much all form of entertainment and social media.

I'm willing to bet Peterson is mostly only appealing to adults and boomers. I sincerely doubt most teens and college-aged kids are interested to listen to his lectures about the bible and lobsters.

The other right-wing hero, Ben Shapiro couldn't be more serious and dry. Love it or hate him, he acts like a middle-aged man.
Don't be so bleak, doomer. Polls show Gen Z is more right wing than Millenials, and polls lean left to begin with. It turns out setting yourself up as hardcore moralfags who hate fun is never a good look for people growing up under you. When it comes to politics, the far left have been the loudest blokes in the room throughout pretty much all of modern history, but don't let that deceive you into thinking they're more popular than they are.

Reagan Babies who grew up under the Clinton years helped push GWB
Bush Babies who grew up in the Obama years will help push Trump when the dems nominate a loon

What's the over under on Kermit the Frog suing notjordanpeterson.com?
Edit: Seems I was essentially ninjaed by Jordan himself.

That is a myth pushed out by The Blaze media group. The reality is that Gen Z has more mixed race kids who support open borders than any generation in history.

Reagan babies are old millenials. They're the reason Obama won twice. Bush Jr appealed to 90-year-old grandmas who didn't believe in separation of church and state.

What happened to the good old days when you had to spend time and effort practicing if you wanted to impersonate someone? Now technology is going to take the fun out of prank calls smh
Chris Cantwell is such a subhuman troglodyte. :story:

He's right, impersonation with the purpose of defamation is a serious crime and can ruin the life of the victim. We may think it's funny to hear Jordan Peterson saying the fourteen words and hailing Hitler, but some less tech-savvy people won't be able to tell the truth from the deepfake joke. Something should be done to regulate this new technology and prevent it from being used for fraud or defamation.
Even if this is a joke, the Peterson bot wasn't any more convincing than those Youtube bots that had Obama talking about sending the Jews to concentration camps that were everywhere during the '16 election. The main reason why even those were used wasn't to convince people, but to inundate them with constant crazy and get them to distrust everything but their primal instincts.

Peterson can talk about how this was motivated by protecting his image, but it was a bout of his thin skin acting up on him.

With how much misinformation and truly shockingly vile lies are already out there and video footage being one of the few things that can still be relied on to debunk them, I get the fear, I really do. But it's like 3D printing. The technology is already out there. You can't stop it, you can only try to get the government to contain it, and you have to seriously consider whether the government having a borderline monopoly on this technology isn't much worse than it being available to everyone.

Besides, much like the paranoia about 3D printing and guns, I think we've got a long way to go before the fears are justified. Current commonly available deep fakes are pretty easily distinguishable from the real thing. Not Jordan Peterson couldn't even pronounce "shady" correctly. Just like how crappy plastic guns are actually kind of pointless when much better metal guns are readily available, clunky impersonation software is kind of pointless when you've already got a vast misinformation network across every aspect of the media that can report your lies as fact and all cross reference each other with out-of-context screenshots and quotes.

so I guess he's in rehab for Klonopin withdrawal:

She's sitting there blaming the medication when it was her father that decided to quit it cold turkey, which is specifically advised against for all benzodiazepines. "It comes with a warning saying it can make you suicidal!!" Yeah, when you suddenly stop taking it without doctor supervision, dummy.

edit: I don't spell no good

Imagine the guy lecturing everybody about shit doesn't have his shit in order. And he specifically made the point that if you don't have your shit in order you shouldn't be telling people how to fix their shit. I think this guy is a case of not really being different from every other public intellectual and saying the things he does because of the attention he gets from doing so. And when it comes down to it he really isn't any different from anyone else. Can't wait for all of his fans to go ITS NOT HIS FAULT. I'll have a good laugh when that happens.

r Jordan Peterson, the Canadian psychologist who grew to international fame following his stand against political correctness and refusal to use gender pronouns, has been checked into a rehabilitation facility in New York, his daughter has confirmed.
In an eight-minute video released on her YouTube and social media channels, Mikhaila Peterson said her 57-year-old father was checked into the clinic after experiencing "horrific" physical withdrawal symptoms from trying to take himself off of the drug Clonazepam.
Peterson, who has previously been open about his relationship with depression, was prescribed the drug following his wife's diagnosis of a terminal cancer in April this year. Her illness also caused Peterson to suspend the speaking tour for his internationally best-selling book, 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos, in addition to delaying publication of his forthcoming title.

Tammy, Peterson's wife of thirty years, has since made a "miraculous" recovery following numerous operations, surgical complications and months in and out of different hospitals, Mikhaila said, which has since triggered Peterson's desire to wean himself off the drug.
However, he was "like a lost puppy" and seriously needed the help of medical experts, she added.
"I've never seen my dad like this," Mikhaila said. "He's having a miserable time of it. It breaks my heart."
The 27-year-old, who has been one of the most active proponents of the controversial Carnivore Diet, along with her father, said that he was recovering and should be able to return to his career shortly.
"The situation is really sad. He looks like a lost puppy. But it will only last while he gets this horrible medication out his system and then he will be good to go again," Mikhaila said.
She also shared a video of Peterson from a recent visit to the rehabilitation facility where he appeared to be in good spirits and can be seen pushing his granddaughter, Elizabeth Scarlett, in a stroller.

The news of Peterson's admission into rehab comes shortly after the latest commotion surrounding the University of Toronto professor who has become no stranger to controversy since his rise to fame in 2016. Filmmakers who directed the documentary The Rise of Jordan Peterson said earlier this week that a Toronto cinema have cancelled a week-long screening of their film.
Director Patricia Marcoccia told Canada's The National Post that the film was scheduled for a theatrical run at the Carlton Cinema, but stated that the theater later cancelled the screening because some employees were uncomfortable with it.

Peterson's reputation as controversial traces back to his early, self-published YouTube videos that were titled "Professor against political correctness." He also refused to comply with Canadian law which would require him to address transgender students by the pronoun of their choice, stating that no time in British Common Law history has the legal code mandated what we must say, as opposed to simply what we must not say.
Critics have argued that this stance is "transphobic" however Peterson has maintained that the issue is not related to transgender rights, but to protecting legal precedents that keep authoritarian governments at bay.
He has since spoken in over 100 cities, often to sold-out arenas, and has over two-million YouTube subscribers.
