I've got a degree in neuropsych, and I focused on schizophrenia. I can't agree that it's the same.

I've read studies that do find different brain chemistry in transexuals, with quite a few showing that their brain chemistry is closer to the opposite gender.

However I do agree that it's a delusion, in that one cannot change their sex. Many of my trans friends are fully aware of this but choose to live how they are comfortable. I think the Troon aspect comes from people who actually believe they are changing their sex, and think that taking medication and getting their nuts cut off makes them an actual legitimate women.

But like I said, many also know that's false.

Then again, none of my trans friends have gone through surgery. They may take hormones but they have no interest in slicing up their junk because they know that's just creating an infested wound and not a vagina

I met one recently at a metal festival who introduced "herself" by her male name. They were presenting as female but was clearly still in the beginning stages, so they dressed as female. They passed terribly but I was surprised that they introduced themself by what others would call their "dead name."

They later posted a review on the fest saying that they were just happy that people treated them like a person. Didn't care if people called them he or she, didn't care that people asked about how they were dressed. They were just content that when they explained they were trans, people would just be like "k cool slam a beer"

I'm not sure if it's at all related to AGP, but I've noticed a trend where a lot of these trans people (MTFs especially) like to obsess over genitalia. If they don't have bottom dysphoria and want to to keep their penis, they'll like their medicated tits, but boast about their "hot girl dick". If they've gone full Looney Troon, they become titty obsessed monsters, and then push their delusions about biologically becoming women so far up their ass that they think they're AFAB (natural born cis women) and then have a "cute" "neopussy" that's all of a sudden leagues above the real thing.

TLDR: Similar trends in gender dysphoric people and OCD exist in white matter in brain. Probably a driving factor in gender dysphorias desperation and all-consuming nature. I now see gender dysphoria as a form of OCD due to how thinking about gender there is obsessive and hard to stop.

I hope Savic is prepared to answer questions on how men with reduced FA who have strong OCD have a "female own-body-ownership perception", and on why boy children born with OCD markers who don't want to transition don't have a female own body perception.

Ivanka Savic has a study in which she concludes that "differences between the transgender groups and cisgender controls, also after taking into account sexual orientation, specifically in the inferior fronto-occipital fasciculus (IFOF) further emphasize that the signature of gender dysphoria is related to self-processing and the experience of body ownership."

This conclusion to own-body perception is prematurely irresponsible and politically motivated. Savic is an assistant professor at the ACLU - an organization that has a very strong queer theory western trans-ideology stance. Savic's study is the only one that links surely own-body perception to IFOF that I can find. (and it's not even studying IFOF). The material extrapolating IFOF to sensory processing in Savic's study is very speculative and is based on Petrides and Pandya's studies concern caudal prefrontal cortex in the macaque monkeys. Not IFOF. This is concerning as: "traditionally, modern autoradiography in monkeys are considered as the “gold standard” for guiding human white matter connective patterns, however, it has been demonstrated that there is not existence of a human equivalent of the IFOF in the monkey brain."

The functions of IFOF are still controversial, - "the definitive structure and functional role of the inferior fronto-occipital fasciculus (IFOF) are still controversial. [...] Several studies suggested that the IFOF possibly played an important role in reading, attention, and visual processing". This study mentions that IFOF-I is related to social cognition, attention, multitasking, and episodic memory; IFOF-II is related to OCD; IFOF-III related to semantic processing of the language; IFOF-IV and IFOF-V related to "semantic processing of language, visual conceptualization, and recognition, however, further clinical analysis are needed to confirm their hypothesis (Sarubbo et al., 2013)." They spew the most snowflake and childish shit for why you shouldn't even think twice about this. We've been telling kids for decades that the best thing is to be yourself, which is inherent and unchangeable. The comparing to a soul is exactly right.

What if 'yourself' is dangerously violent? What if 'yourself' is wasteful? What if being 'yourself' ruins your family's life?

The first two duh, you suppress it and change it because it's actually not something magical that you can't change. That last one though, well you shouldn't deny who you are anymore! Yes, I've been doing quite a lot of re-analyzing in the servers I used to frequent as a member and have noticed quite a number of them link their gender beginnings to doing something that's a trivial norm deviation (ex. playing with dolls). It's normal for teenagers to look back upon their childhood days, especially during the mood swings, and I'm starting to think this may be a key to understanding why shit like tumblr ruined so many lives; it's easy for others to exploit them during this time of weakness and self reflection. Insinuating that they were happier not because they enjoyed the activity, but because they were closer to their "true" identity.

This actually makes a lot of sense to me.

Having known several TIMs over the years, I can say that they're some of the most boring people on the planet because literally every conversation comes back to gender or oppression. Every time.

Gender identity is the only lens through which they view the world.

Favorite book? Favorite movie? Hobbies? Interests?

The answer will include their gender within two sentences and won't deviate from that topic. Even if you try to steer the conversation away from any topic that might be gendered they'll make certain to drag you back, kicking and screaming because that's all they care about.
