I am confused. If Nena was with Krystle before Amber left VA, then Amber was probably not a complete stranger when Becky saw her on youtube and contacted her. Did they fool me again?

I don't know if that's the true timeline since Amber and the truth is like amber and a reasonable diet. However, I believe this is how it happened because Amber, ever the opportunist, wanted a ride to VA to see Krystle, and guess who drove her? Then Krystle kept coming to Ky during the summer to visit Amber with Nena. Now Nena lived in TN, like 4 hours from Amber, so I'm not sure how she worked out the logistics, why krystle couldn't just see Nena in TN instead of picking her up and bringing her to KY for Amber to be a third wheel, but whatever.

The next time we hear of Nena, it's in the first younow amber did with Rafe, and Rafe says that Nena is a bitch for dating becky for four years, then taking her to taco bell to say they should see other people. I don't know at what point in the timeline this happened. I suppose if it was during the time Amber and Nena were "weight loss buddies" then maybe Amber had heard of becky (but for all we know, she was originally trying to cultivate Nena for her own replacement for destiny if it came to that). Since Rafe HATED Nena, I assume Nena and Becky didn't part on good terms, so I doubt Nena would have been like "Hey Amber is single, suck up to that shugga momma" or maybe they were on good terms and Nena tried to hook Amber up with becky so she could get rid of amber as a damn third wheel, but I don't recall a time when the four of them hung out together. (I only remember any of this because I've been picking my way through the original thread and I'm at the point now where Rafe spilled the tea on Nena).

I don't think we'll ever really know when/why becky started following amber (I doubt it was because she saw her video randomly suggested, as she's said), and who may have pointed her out to becky, and what part Nena played in any of it.

I always wondered what because of Krystal and Nena, especially since the geographical difference (and I'm only like 250 pages in and I only read it before bed every once in a while if I have insomnia. I guess I'll find out later about Nena moving? Nena worked in TN, I don't know what she did, but I vaguely remember her wearing something scrubs-like, but it could just be because she was chunky in loungewear. I can't believe they're together in VA, I wonder how amber feels, since she has such a sense of ownership over Krystle's family. She was able to do so much more back then though. This last hundred elbees really crippled her. She used to be able to stand and walk for over 3 minutes at a time, she would do her hair rather than wear it in a poop bun 365 days a year, she would go out to eat with friends/coworkers and she'd have them come over as well. We made fun of her insanely tacky jewelry but at least she accessorized in a way that was aesthetically pleaseen to her, and she hasn't bothered to do that in a really long time.

Not that her life was glamorous or fulfilling or anything. But when I see her with her nails done and it takes me back to those days it's really staggering how much she declined both physcially and mentally since she moved in with Becky.
