Steve Blum is a mystery, because Vic had previously called Steve a friend, but he's one of the few LA VAs who is just rabidly against Vic. He isn't part of the Texas clique, and he's similar to Crispin and Bryce in that he doesn't need Sabat's help to get roles. There's no reason for him to be KV, he just...is.

My best guess is that his TDS struck and he decided to hate Vic for not joining in on that, while Vic, being a normal and sane person, didn't think his political beliefs needed to align with someone to consider them his friend.

Far idealogues tend to throw decades of friendship away if you vote wrong in their eyes.

Her name is Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, she mostly does voice directing and voicing side characters, but her most known anime voice acting probably is Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. Video games wise, I know she voices Nina Williams in Tekken and player female crusader in Diablo 3 or Johanna in HoTS. She and Steve Blum have been dating to each other for a year now, I think? She sometimes participates in Critical Role. I wouldn't say Funimation pressuring them to do anything, I'd rather say they want to stay out of drama, since they are more on LA side. It's true that Steve Blum and her are quite lean left, and they have enough politic drama/sperging on their twitter. Since I don't know much on dubbing industry, so I have no idea if they work closely with Funimation besides doing supporting roles in Dragon Ball one time.

Other than that, Steve Blum have met Vic Mignogna before in a few conventions, being friendly with each other. You can find more clips on youtube.

This one has all three together.

It makes enough sense for them to back out to avoid controversy, I suppose. Even more so for them to back out together if the are dating or whatever. I have no idea if they both have anything current going on with Funi, but I'm aware they have provided voices for them in the past. It was simply a curiosity, since VAs don't seem to have an issue with breaking their contacts all willy nilly as of late... just cause otherwise you'd look like a "rape apologist" to some of your peers. Just got me thinking about what VAs have been showing up alongside Vic and who hasn't after this whole debacle started.

I think Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and Steve Blum are actually married.
Supposedly, they cheated on their respective SOs to be with each other.

I am reasonably sure that's behind a significant amount of what is going on with KV.

Many likely presumed he did because of being a devout Christian white male.
Hate the Christian alpha? Sounds about right. I’d also add “in KV to atone and redeem themselves for non PC things in the past”, like Panty and Stocking and Ghost Stories, assuming the social justice angle is genuine and not as some say here, a smokescreen to mask professional jealousy and/or some complicated dick measuring contest.

I think there is a little bit of everything amongst KV.
Some KV people are genuine SJWs who want asspats. Some are jealous VAs behind a smokescreen. Some are using KV for their own interests. And some are simply gullible.

Just finished watching Nick's Thursday stream. I think that this is going to end in a big anti-climax. I think that there is no way in hell that the defendants aren't going to settle. They also aren't going to try to appeal the TCPA. The whole mediation thing is just a bid by Chupp to avoid being outed as an incompetent boomer to the powers that be via appeal.

I also think that mediation is a bad move for Vic. If he does that he will be like Micheal Jackson; people will be able to say "Oh. he settled out of court; he just used money from his alt-right grifter friend and his incel army to beat these poor womyn down into submission."

They are going to do something similar anyways. This is not about changing the mind of the entrenched kickvic crowd, but to help repair the damage they did(or at least be compensated for it). We are aware that they will continue to try and fuck with vic, but this time vic can pretty much show the businesses that "Hey this was settled already and it is trolls bringing up lies again".

There is no 100% totally good move at this point.

Edit: I take that back. The worse move would have been to do nothing. That would have been a 0% good move.

Well personally, I think that Vic winning a real court battle would have been the better outcome. It would have vindicated him beyond a shadow of a doubt and (possibly more importantly) it would have been a stronger deterrent against future cancellations. Also if everyone reaches a settlement then it won't be as financially devastating to the defendants. They wont spend months having their bank accounts attrited followed by having to pay Vic and Ty compensatory and punitive damages.

Michael Jackson seems kind of fitting in that only the “true believers” will say he’s a monster while his friends will know the talent that he is while the rank and file will still appreciate his stuff and look forward to new things (assuming Vic doesn’t die), but may still have that sinking voice in the back of their minds. Any unpersonings will only be done by the entrenched people of the #Threadnought or those trying to virtue signal.

Also, MJ had a pet chimp and had an amusement park. It’s not like the child allegations was the first time people thought Michael may not have been normal.

She had this:

Not sure if I archived him already, but Anthony Bowling is a Funi VA, too. And what a bitchboy to have that as his twitter avatar.
The absurdly inflated importance in calling this "the photo of the goddamn century" is going to make my eyes roll out of my head.

Historic images from 9/11, the wars in the Middle East, mass shootings and tragic natural disasters all fall short of a couple fat VAs who "survived" a hair touch and jellybean joke.

Interestingly enough - and what a couple of people know about him, MJ also was an age regressor. He didn't have a childhood like the other kids due to the abuse from his father as a child. Age regression is a form of a coping mechanism for people like him that suffer from child abuse.

Vic would still might have people who would still think he's a bad guy while having some people saying that he's not due to their IRL experiences with him in any convention that he has attended.

American culture has a tendency to overinflate microcosm issues in order to make themselves feel more important than they are. The best example I can think of is Time's 2017 person of the year, when they chose the women of metoo over Xi Jingping.
