Well personally, I think that Vic winning a real court battle would have been the better outcome. It would have vindicated him beyond a shadow of a doubt and (possibly more importantly) it would have been a stronger deterrent against future cancellations. Also if everyone reaches a settlement then it won't be as financially devastating to the defendants. They wont spend months having their bank accounts attrited followed by having to pay Vic and Ty compensatory and punitive damages.

A settlement where they recant is another option. Previously in the first 2-3 months just getting them to stop would have been enough.

If they are still in it after the TCPA appeals are done, the recant becomes possible again.

they're certainly not going to do any settling until TCPA is over with, the defendants are basically in a mindset that this lawsuit isn't real until then.

Weinstein was obviously a pig who deserved what he got. However, and maybe I'm reading too much into this and it's not meant to be taken as what I think it is, not everyone who gets metoo'd is actually guilty of something. Again, maybe I'm reading too much into this, but when you respond to comments like the one linked who specifically talk about the case, it's hard to think you're only referring to weinstein. Per Stan Dahlin, wasn't your own brother nearly accused of rape at a convention once? Heck the only reason he wasn't buried in PR is because the girl admitted she did it for attention.

We keep hearing how Vic had this immense control over people in the anime industry yet no proof has come out to confirm this. Heck, the only person who we can suspect of having a more than normal sway over certain people in the industry was Sabat. Of course, only two people have confirmed this so far and they haven't provided any proof of their claims but by everyone's logic, even one person making those claims should be enough to convict and cancel that person.

Again, where's the proof of rape or sexual assault? All I see are photos and inconsistent stories. Probably battery cases at the most, but none of them were taken to court or reported. I suppose just because "the police don't do their job" it should be enough of a reason nowadays to forego the legal system entirely. cool. Police hardly do their job when it comes to break-ins and robbery as well, probably at a higher rate. Guess i'm just going to accuse the next person I see on the street of robbery, and everyone should believe me.

They claimed there was an extensive investigation that lasted weeks, instead there was a short series of phone calls.

They claimed Vic was sexually assaulting thousands of fans, it turns out they were talking about kisses on the cheek at convention lines because Vic didn't practice some feminist ritual they now insist on.

How many MeToo cases are done the same way? Guessing about 80% of them. It's just a convenient way to get white males out of the way so they can be replaced by women. What a fucking waste.

Rule of thumb: If someone can #MeToo to an audience of randos but were "too scared" to go to the authorities or let someone else who could have helped know, they're likely faking it.

If someone spends more time on Twitter activism than actually getting help for trauma if they couldn't report them at the time for whatever reason, they're likely faking it.

If a person isn't looking for closure from their trauma and are looking to get reactions and asspats, they're likely faking it.
People who were assaulted don't want to keep reliving their assault. They want to close the door. They don't keep rubbing salt into their own wounds.

Even those who were in situations of dubious consent with an employer or someone of "more power" than them tend to want to help people avoid making the same mistakes.

Dubious consent is still consent you uneducated doorknobs. Yeah it feels bad after I guess but you weren't forced. A job isn't worth it if you really do feel coerced. But a lot of it is fabricated.
A lot of #MeToo could be prevented if there was clause in current laws to reflect the differences. Yeah it sucks I guess but I guarantee 70% of rape cases and assault cases would be eradicated on the spot.

Steve Blum is a mystery, because Vic had previously called Steve a friend, but he's one of the few LA VAs who is just rabidly against Vic. He isn't part of the Texas clique, and he's similar to Crispin and Bryce in that he doesn't need Sabat's help to get roles. There's no reason for him to be KV, he just...is.

My best guess is that his TDS struck and he decided to hate Vic for not joining in on that, while Vic, being a normal and sane person, didn't think his political beliefs needed to align with someone to consider them his friend.

It's suffice to assume he may be against Vic due to Drumpf, but there is no merit to that assumption other than Steve having Ron Pearlman levels of disdain for Drumpf so it wouldn't surprise me if that's the case. Steve also likes to prop himself up as a moralfag. So I wouldnt be surprised if simply just hearing about this situation was enough for him to completely write Vic off.

At this juncture, however, I doubt it makes much sense to egg-count how many VAs are or arent KV, or ones that actually side with him, because it could change by the day. Unless they're breaking out incriminating evidence, I personally don't care for them.
