Megathread Tranny Sideshows on Social Media - Any small-time spectacle on Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter, Dating Sites, and other social media.

@Abortions4All 's comment above describing the OCD-like symptoms of dysmorphia is correct, but some of it is also that the terms "dysphoria" and "dysmorphia" are so broad nowadays that half the population would qualify. Here's how Wikipedia defines dysphoria: "a profound state of unease or dissatisfaction. In a psychiatric context, dysphoria may accompany depression, anxiety, or agitation." That sounds like every angsty teenager ever. But now there's a psychiatric term that you can leverage to make your unhappiness go away, because Reddit says so.

IMO, a more accurate definition would be a sense of incongruity between how you perceive yourself and your actual appearance. Looking in the mirror and being disappointed or self-conscious because your boobs are too small or you have a gut is a normal part of life. Looking in the mirror and seeing someone you legitimately do not recognize as yourself, that's more serious. Very few people are 100% satisfied with their appearance, but that doesn't mean we need to label it as a disorder and hustle everyone into the plastic surgeon's office.
I would also say that the idea that all your problems are caused by whatever body part(s) are distressing you and that they will all magically go away if you just fix your appearance is a big part of it as well.

Body dysmorphia really all comes from narcissistic neuroses, you have to really think other people really give a fuck about these minute details and that you, particularly, are under constant scrutiny of the type literally no one has time to give to a stranger. You have to be so deep into your own navel that you start thinking of yourself as an outside observer of yourself, like you're always on a stage.

While this may be true for some people, a lot of true transgender people completely realize that we're not under any scrutiny, especially those of us who pass very well. As a male I'm a solid 8 and as a female I'm a 7 or slightly better. I do obsess over very minor BS but it's not because I think everyone is looking at those things and judging me but because I have a near autistic obsession with perfecting my look.

You may see it as narcissism and in many cases you might be right with the trender invasion but there's just as much that has a heavier focus on self-improvement than it does on actual presentation.

Also just on the topic of the thread, tranny reddit is cancer but so are most tranny communities. They're mostly owned and operated by chaser men or trender teens who are hyper leftist.

Since most men tend to overrate their attractiveness, I'm going to press X to doubt on the 8/7 rating. I also think you mistake people ignoring you for "passing". It isn't like people automatically point and yell "tranny" every time we see one. It isn't like playing punch buggy. Most of us see, mental note it, and move on. But I will totally tell my friends about it later and have a chuckle.

Man it has to suck so bad these days because all the teachers and counselors have to be all woke af and enthusiastically supportive of your pervert dad and you don't have anyone you can safely tell that the whole thing makes you feel weird and gross and scared.
Exactly. I can't even fathom thinking of my dad, a paragon of "toxic masculinity," doing that. I mean, I'm old and he's dead, but there was a time when I was a kid, he shaved his Burt Reynold's mustache off and I just about had a heart attack!
Jesus, these poor kids. It's gotta destroy them (but then again this is the world we live in now. :(

I remember reading a news story about a kindergarten class that did a "transition party" for a kid. They read some books on transgender stuff and then the little boy left the room, changed clothes and came back as a girl. They told them he would now be a girl and go by a different name. Kids came home crying to their parents because they were afraid they were going to turn into the opposite sex, too. They didn't even give parents notification that it was happening because you can't opt out of diversity lessons. I imagine little kids would react the same way when it happens to a parent. Older kids would probably start searching up whether or not it is genetically inherited and worry that they, too, might become mentally ill one day.

That’s why tying the modern trans rights movement to communism/socialism is so fucking hysterical: there is nothing more capitalistic than the idea that you can just buy your way into a completely different self— AND that there are entire industries in place to facilitate it.

nobody cares as long as you just use the can, wash your hands, maybe fix your makeup and get out

it's when you bring google glasses into it and start checking out little girls who might be young bleeders that people get very disturbed with you, and women aren't typically going to be violent anyway, which is why JY gets away with what he does

Kids today are probably going to be the next Silent Generation.

Lots of people care, though. Muslim women and other women who believe in religions where women cannot disrobe around men, women with PTSD caused by male violence, and many other women are deeply troubled by the presence of men in the women's bathroom, locker room, etc. Men don't belong there, no matter how subtle they try to be. It harms women and keeps women from accessing those spaces, essentially barring those women from public life for the sake of delusional men.

If you look well enough and there are enough ugly women in your area, no, nobody actually cares.

Am I seriously the only person who lives in a place with ugly women or something, there are enough butch women around here for there to be persistent stories of butch women getting "clocked" and told they're men

Ugly women are still women. There's a pretty big difference between an ugly woman or a butch woman and a man.

Regardless, nobody should be telling men "hey, go ahead and invade women's spaces, no one cares!" when knowing that these men are allowed in women's spaces and might be there prevents some women from being able to fully participate in society.

Yeah, but I don't like Yaniv. He belongs on a rope in the town square. Yeah, there's a lot of fucked up tranny's but they belong on a rope just like every other pedophile. Or a cross, I haven't decided how I'm going to deal with them in my new world order yet

I'm totally not saying JY should be tarred and feathered by a mob of Sikhs... in Minecraft

Bathrooms are a complex problem, though. That's why the only solution is for society to go to individual bathrooms with doors that can be locked instead of multi-stalled restrooms segregated by sex. There aren't people stationed outside restrooms to police who goes in and out so it is impossible to keep men out who want to find a way in. Better to just change how all public restrooms are designed and implemented. It would be fair to men, women, trans people, families with kids, etc. It would cost a lot of money, though, which is why the easiest solution is to just make the women's room the "gender neutral" one and be done with it. But we'll have to go this route if the number of trans people keeps skyrocketing as the AGPs and transtrenders start hopping on the crazy train.

Other womens' spaces like sports teams, shelters, etc. -- those can be controlled much more easily so we don't need to let any man in, not even a trans "woman". We can build them their own spaces and let them have their own sports divisions. We are under no obligation to share ours.

I agree that single-stall restrooms are a better idea, and that it's difficult to impossible to police restrooms. But I don't see why we can't just go back to how it was before the trans movement started declaring women's boundaries to be worthless and make it unacceptable for men to enter the women's bathroom unless they flawlessly "pass". Like, if a troon passes so well that no one will notice them... it's still a violation and it's still nasty as fuck on a personal level (like, they're a gross man for violating women's boundaries), but you can't really stop them so that's kind of whatever. But just throwing the doors open and going "hey men, come violate women's spaces!" is disturbed.

I really don't believe the solution is to make women's restrooms a thing of the past and declare them all "gender neutral". Why should women suffer and many women be barred from public life (again, many women cannot share bathrooms with men) so that men can get their jollies being where they don't belong? Why not have a "biological female restroom" and make the men's bathroom the "all genders" bathroom?

Thing with the locker rooms, sports teams, shelters, etc. is that if we let the troons in the women's bathroom and capitulate to them, they just push the issue - "you let us in your bathrooms, why is the locker room different?" then "you let us in your locker rooms and bathrooms, why is the rape crisis shelter any different?" You can't give these men an inch, they'll take the length and breadth of a football field.

But the bottom line is that the trans movement and trans people don't want spaces of their own. They want women's spaces. And they need to gtfo.

I'm not sure you understand the point of actually being trans. The point of being trans is to TRANSITION to the other sex and become as much of the other sex as is currently possible.
The only trans people that insist on being recognized as trans are what we'd call "trenders."

One good Reddit community for seeing what the goal is would be r/transpassing. The entire goal is to become other gender. It's the primary cure for gender dysphoria.

And this is from someone who even now just walks into men's rooms in a skirt and high heels because of personal grips with how the bathroom issue is handled.

I don't disagree, but there are a lot of men who *think* they pass -- just look at r/transadorable -- that will try to walk in the doors of the restroom. What do we do then? Call the police? Try to make them leave (which could be a dangerous thing to do)? I don't know that women have that many options in a situation like this. Unfortunately, I kind of think the genie is out of the bottle on this one and it might not be possible to go back to the way things were. If troons were capable of caring about other people, you could have a few gender neutral single bathrooms and they would opt to go there rather than the women's room. But "passing" is such a "validation" for them, that they won't put the needs of others ahead of their own for something even so small as using the restroom. We see this with trans kids at school demanding that they get to use the bathroom/locker of their choice even when given an option of using a private bathroom instead. Because their feelings matter more than all their peers feelings combined.

Edited to add: And when I meant all gender neutral bathrooms, I mean single bathrooms with doors, sink, mirror in one room where the door could be locked. Not large common area with sinks and lockable stalls. I don't think I made that clear. I would never suggest that there be a large shared bathroom area because of the potential of harassment/violence in a space where it can be isolated if not busy and also because of the cultural/religious prohibitions for some people.

But that doesn't really matter. You may have the goal of becoming the other sex -- but you can't. You will always be the sex you were born with. Chop off whatever body parts you want and add others on, but that does not change biology. It simply makes you a male who has transformed their body to LOOK more like a woman. The idea that someone can actually BECOME the opposite sex is delusional.

Just because you are hoping to fly under the radar doesn't make you any less of a man. You are simply the least problematic type of troon. I still wouldn't want you competing in women's sports or staying at a women's only domestic abuse shelter or being given a scholarship to college that is earmarked for women.

Men can dress and present as women all they want. They just shouldn't claim that they actually ARE women.

Edit: Sorry for being exceptional and double posting.

Um, yeah, even if "all you want" (which is BS) is to be like the other sex, it's physically, literally impossible to change your sex. A man in a skirt doing his best to look like a woman is still a man and has no business being in women's spaces, period. His presence there is a violation of women's spaces, rights and boundaries. And no amount of mental illness (dysphoria) makes that okay.

Y'all need therapy, not access to the ladies' room.

I think calling the police is exactly what should be done, honestly. But yeah, I agree, there's not much going back, I'm just frustrated and disgusted by the whole lot of it. These sociopathic men (and the sociopathic male children they're training to be like them) need to be shut down.

To me it's kind of personal because... yeah, (without going into too much detail) I'm one of the women being driven out of public life because of this shit. I can't use public bathrooms anymore without having to worry about a man coming in and giving me an actual panic attack. It's.. let's say it's not fun, especially as my city has a fair number of troons.
