Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

What if Vic was judging the AMVs?
What if she went out of her way to take care of him because he gave her wet dreams?

EDIT: More seriously tho, I don't think it that uncommon to pick a random volunteer to do some unplanned task.
It may simply have been Vic asking for a projector to a important member of the staff who was to busy to take care of it himself, and the dude simply asked the closest volunteer to go pick the projector.

Because this is not impacting Sony, let alone Funimation, as much as people think.

That's hard to just say. New people are joining the ISWV side everyday and basically that side has turned a cold shoulder to funimation. Being in a lawsuit for defamation is just bad looking on paper unless a random person gets KVs full "explanation", it will probably make them think negatively of funimation. Toei VA's have already confirmed Toei is not liking all the shenanigans going on not only with this but with the leaks and shit.

On the other side though they don't want to basically admit fault. Cutting a deal with Vic makes it look to people like they did something wrong. Which they did but they just don't want to admit that.

EDIT: Also as the judge said the upcoming court date is not the end all for this shit. Appeals and such like he said will drag this on forever. Thats negative publicity for funimation for possibly years.

This. Is. Not. That. Big. The average person who watches anime has no fucking clue about this and really, really does not care. Get some perspective.

You say as you post the 57252 post in this thread that was made some months ago. It's nbd tho. My brother even knew about this shit and he pays absolutely no attention to the news he found out on twitter. Ron Toye and Funi Leaks made top 10 on twitter @'s for hours Ron was actually #1 for hours for tweets in the usa.

NBD though. Agree to disagree.

Remove 50000 posts of people just talking about best animus and waifus bs, and it's the same 10 people posting everything else

This is an embarrassing tweet for the ABA, why are they talking about 'law twitter'
This is actually fucking bizzare. Their twitter is usually fucking calm as fuck. Its insanely out of character to start dickriding 'lawtwitter' and making fun of another lawyer.

Seriously fucking weird. I can only assume some intern who follows Popehat a bit too much got control of the twitter somehow.

A brief search shows that this is the first time, in the history of their account on twitter, the ABA has used the term "Law Twitter"
Its also the second time they've talked about trolls in the internet sense, and not the patent sense

So yeah, this is fucking weird for the ABA, very fucking weird.

They must have hired a new social media manager or something.

I feel like I'm from another planet because I still have no idea who this popehat guy is. All I've gathered is he's some Z-list Internet personality who can't keep up with his own podcast schedule. I don't understand why lawtwitter cares about what he has to say because it matters as much as my opinion....which is very little.

Because among the do-nothing lawyers that love to post on twitter, he's a big deal I guess.

yeah, this is why funi had to shut down their unsubscribe button twice. It definitively didnt hurt them. NONONO. Their unsub button just happened to bug out, twice.
A brief google search shows that this is a problem I can find that predates the Vic case, and is likely due to shitty backend tech on Funimation's part, seriously here's a post from 2017.

So yes, its actually much more likely that their unsub button bugged out, that their tech is fucking awful, than it is some evil conspiracy to keep users giving them money, illegally, by making it impossible to unsubscribe. Hanlon's Razor you sped. This is the thing, you fucking morons think this Vic shit matters so much more than it could in any reasonable reality, and start painting situations without trying to research. Funimation magically evilly disabled its unsub button!... Or its a persistent tech problem. Maybe its that.
