Sorry for the double-post, but I'm back, and I feel all of these beauties deserve to be preserved in one post. Let the fanfic sperging begin!
We'll start with
Daddy Dearest (also known as John Loves His Daddy), which may well be
the most infamous fic in the Homestuck fandom. It's an acknowledged troll fic (and the author wishes they'd never written it, having not expected it to become so memetic), but it's worth knowing about, solely because it's
creepy as shit. It's a fic about John and his dad having an incestuous relationship, told in a disturbingly childlike tone, and while it's mercifully short, it sticks with you in the worst fucking way. It's also well-known enough in the fandom that if you say the opening lines of the fic to a fan, there's a good chance they'll get
very uncomfortable because they know damn well what you're quoting.
On a lighter note, there's also a fic titled
Homestuck high (yes, the word "high" is left uncapitalized in the title) that has started to achieve some degree of infamy. It starts as a fairly by-the-numbers shitty high school AU, albeit an especially poorly-written and OOC one, but it quickly devolves into pure insanity. Literally
no one is in-character, which is common enough...but they're
so OOC that they're basically just OCs who somehow share names with canon characters. Here's a rundown of some of the most blatant offenders:
- Rose is portrayed as the ultimate alpha bitch--ultra-popular, a complete bitch who feels no affection for those around her, and apparently a fan of fake tans and slutty clothing.
- Eridan is a mythical demon hunter that John transforms into when he puts on a pair of plastic horns.
- Sollux is a demon. Like, an actual literal demon. Also he impregnates girls with demon spawn for...some reason.
- Karkat and Tavros are the same person, with Tavros apparently being some second personality of Karkat's.
- Kanaya is seen making out with a guy, despite Hussie having explicitly stated her to be gay and despite the fact that the guy is John's dad. At this point in the fic, it's one of the least bizarre occurrences.
It really must be read to be believed--my brief description really cannot do it justice. It's probably a troll fic, but it's worth a read (and unlike Daddy Dearest, isn't terribly creepy).
Finally, there's
Kanaya Gore, which as far as I know is only available in MSTed form (which is what I've linked to). It's a fic where no one is in character and male trolls apparently become incredibly sadistic rapists on an annual basis, which, of course, they take out on Kanaya. Graphically. I'm definitely gonna leave this one as a "reader beware" kind of thing, because it's seriously gross.
Speaking of gross, Gravity Falls has a few gems of its own, but by far the most insane one I've seen is
Dipper Goes To Taco Bell. The title makes it sound pretty innocuous (albeit inane), but it's not. Again, reader beware, but despite it being the single most fucked up thing linked to in this post, it's...honestly pretty funny in how over-the-top it is. But it
is incredibly gory, and contains underage incest and a whole lot of diarrhea. I can't make this up, guys.
