It isn't just Zoe's grift. The comic industry is rife with unqualified people who only got hired due to cronyism. It's why Marvel's comics sales have been shit despite MCU being huge and for some reason nobody has a problem with how much money they're bleeding. Captain Marvel is awful because they're trying to FORCE a Superman which is.. not good since it's hard to write for Superman-tier characters without jumping the shark. You want weaknesses and faults because they cause conflict, you want conflict that's fantastic but has a strong thread people can relate to. That's just basic writing but then you get idiots like Zoe Quinn who just put their own self-perceived flaws into the character. This is a risky and often stupid move because it relies on the writer having a well-rounded understanding of themselves and familiarity with hard introspection. It's why Goddess Mode was shit and read like someone writing about their reflection in a funhouse mirror; an exaggeration of shallow faults with nothing of substance. It's why she's always been an orbiter, someone who would weasel her way into a scene so she could be adjacent to guys like Alec who were genuinely creative, hardworking, and could write about themselves without writing about themselves.

Hey Comic Industry, I'll make you money. Here is my pitch.

I wanna make a comic about naked lesbian barbarians who slay big titty naked lesbian wizards. Also they kill some warlock called "Gam'Gatór" and then discuss the how a neighboring country of dark skinned sand people who compose of naked big boobed lesbians make really good thieves.

Also they use racial slurs a lot and cut down "weak" men who praise them nonstop. Most of these guys are bald men who smile wide open mouthed all the time.

Now, I know that sounds retarded, but I swear its about 100% more creative then Zoe could put out and your audience would love it.

Making an evil warlock named Gam'Gatór the main antagonist sounds exactly like something Zoe would do.

They'd get the least attractive dykes to play them though, anything with representation or empowerment has to be revolting to the the normals and a good chunk of the demo they're ostensibly trying to appeal to as well. Also that's Zelda with lesbians complete with Gerudo, Gannon Gate maybe?

I don't even know what her angle for the unaware was supposed to be. Was it that they were public but Eron dug them up or something? Was it that sharing it was fine but body shaming is bad? I also don't know why normies are unable to read people's eyes she has a serpentine nature and I instinctively reach for my compute knife when I see her

She has the mentality of a Blue Check, and these people actually believe the public internet is their private club. See to her, having her look-at-me-daddy nude photos publicly available was fine when she was in perceived control, but when people who don't like her found them then it became a breach of her privacy. For the same reason they want to tell people on Twitter that they're not allowed in their mentions or to quote tweet them cause that qualifies as harassment. Their main problem is lack of ownership over their actions, and anything they dislike is a direct attack.

So yeah in her mind, people passing her objectively bad and amateur whore photos around was some sort of "doxing" because narcissists like her broadcast every single thing they ever do and they're very, very angry they don't have absolute authority on how it is perceived.
The same applies to the Zoepost and the whole suicide thing, she believes that stories of her behavior are hers to control. Anything about her that is not controlled by her is perceived as an attack against her because she can't square her actual behavior with how she perceives herself.

Captain Marvel leaks were interesting, Disney losing faith in the draw of that, different since Captain Marvel was made to be popular not a money sink like the comic portion but still some implications for Zoe and people like her

The Disney leaks that said that she, with no prompting whatsoever, was supposed to take on Spider-Man as a sidekick, and that it was actually supposed to be like she was Spider-Man's sidekick in hopes his likability was going to rub off on her?

I don't mean to be all autistic and mad here, but anything you read on Cosmic Book News generally isn't accurate. Made apparent by the fact that it's generally not reported anywhere besides Cosmic Book News.

before the MCU was officially a thing, there was a solid Spiderman Ms. Marvel issue(before the name change to Captain Marvel/introduction to Kamala Khan) where Carol Danvers and Peter Parker actually go on a date to see if they're compatible at all; they both find each other physically attractive, but don't really like each other's personalities and both being capes is too much baggage so they just decide to stay Avengers co-workers. I want to say this was 2008-2010ish, couldn't say which Volume.

Pete both dated CM and Mockingbird, but neither relationship lasted long, and it looks like Marvel might reverse their r-tarded decision to retcon his marriage to Mary Jane.
