When a person from an authoritarian regime who could be imprisoned for going against said authoritarian regime says something defending that authoritarian regime, you ignore it, because they literally have to say that.
By extension, anything a communist says (as in, a person living in communism, not an american lefty) should be ignored. Just like anything a north korean says can be assumed to be at least partially compelled.
Not that these people are always lying or wrong, but because they're not free to tell the truth.

So apparently Margaret Atwood has written another book in the Handmaid's Tale world. It's called The Testaments. I could never get through the Handmaid's Tale because it was so over the top "Christians will do this! Beware! Beware!" that I couldn't take it seriously.
Given that Atwood has drunk the kool-aid and gone completely bonkers over Trump, I'm almost interested in how over the top whoever the villain is resembles Orange Man Bad. Not enough to buy it obviously, but maybe pirate it.
