I wonder what these people will use those bags for. honestly I wouldn't want that, it basically screams. "Look I got fleeced lawl" I foresee these things ending up on ebay and or goodwill.

It just works, it just works little lies, stunning shows people buy, money flows, it just works.

Meanwhile the New Vegas team had a 40+ page prelude comic made that looks beautiful and is referenced in the game itself via landmarks like graves and actual towns.

It's truly a never-ending fucking ride for this poor bastards. So not only did they send the wrong bags and send better ones later but now the helmets have mold risks. Jesus. Fucking. Christ.

Edit: Looked into it a bit more, turns out it's a GameStop exclusive Nuka Cola Power Armor Helmet that has the mold risk or some shit? I don't know either way this is still funny to me. Atleast it's impressive now, Has that post apocalyptic smell and feel! now with a higher chance to get ill from it.

Tbh I normally rag hard on developers for mistakes and obviously bad choices. But at this point they cant catch a break. They fixed the game and made it fun, and no matter what they fix with fallout 76 drama something else comes up.

They've got a lot more to fix before I'd suggest it's fun - it's still kind of a giant shit pile. I'd give it a pass if it was some kickstarter game that just came out as opposed to a nearly year old game released at $60 by an allegedly AAA developer. They've finally gotten to a point where they've got a decent (not good) framework for a game but they still aren't doing much with it.

Fair enough, I personally find it fun but I can see what it lacks to be good for some.

I've got some hours in it as well, but there's still some baffling decisions in there that really can't be justified as anything other than "who designed this".

Nuclear Winter (the new battle royale mode) for example - not a great idea but it's actually kind of fun; to my knowledge it's one of the only BR games to incorporate RPG elements (via the seven perk cards and armor system). However, once you look a little deeper you realize they messed up the implementation of it.

- The game is supposed to be a "fair fight" (with some variation via perks), but a level 50 character (from the main game) will has the potential to be substantially more powerful than a level 1 character because a level 50 character will have 49 more SPECIAL points and can equip the hyper powerful perks (ex- Frog Legs, +weapon damage, bloody mess, etc) at the same time.
- The game uses your character (not your account) and you're locked into using those characters' stats. This means that if you run a build in the main game, you can't easily change it for NW mode (A melee character in the main game will not have the 9 AGI for Frog Legs and won't have the 9 LUCK for Bloody Mess). This also ties into the really awful respec system in the main game if you wanted to ruin your character in the main game to use NW perk cards in that mode.
- The rewards are infrequent/bad, are tracked per character, and are frequently small things like player icons or picture frames. The mode (now) gives perk cards every level but those aren't remarkably useful because of the stat requirements.
- The EXP for the mode is really slow. Even a victory wherein you kill 8+ people in a round is not a guaranteed level up and the rewards system goes up to level 100.
- The game engine is still janky and they never went back and updated some of the NW perks (ex - you cannot use team medic if your own health is full, even thought you clearly want to heal other people because you fucking took team medic). Using "building" items like you would in Fortnite is impossible becuase the menu freezes up for a full 3 seconds when you try and build something.
- There is no dedicated "solo" or "team" modes - all players are thrown into a map together. As a solo player, you will frequently contend with full squads of semi-coordinated players. As a team player, a lot of the team mechanics are janky as shit (ex - You can still destroy/be targeted by a teammate's machine gun turret and it shows as hostile to you). You are placed in the rankings when you die, even if your team is still alive and wins the game.

The framework is there, but they really need to go back in and do another real solid hard pass on it and re-evaluate how they want players to engage in this mode and remove a lot of frustrating elements that are there for no real reason other than laziness/jankiness.

I love that the obvious jealousy they have towards New Vegas is constantly brought up, I cried from laughing for the brief mention of their superior bags in IH's vid

People's tears are salty as well. Though it's also just as fun to have enough to make raiders go boom.

Raider walks up. Attempts takeover. Turrets smack them down. Scrape raider off boot.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Holy fuck bethesda. A $13/month (or $100/year) subscription for a non-dedicated private server, a stash box, a fast travel point, an a costume from New Vegas? From a game that isn't free-to-play? That they still sell for $40?

This is the stuff you get out the door while pushing back content patches? These niggas are retarted.
