Yeah. Im not sure I believe that. I cant imagine anyone wanting Funimation with all their bad press.

Me neither. The blog post information conflicts with Clownfish.

The blog says Aniplex is above Funimation.

Clownfish says Aniplex and Funimation blended together.

I agree with RodgerDodger that settlement is probably being pushed.

Sabat is probably fighting for his career and can't care about Monica and Jamies.

Somebody with skill do this better.

Repeat of the "ANiplex & FUNi merge" info from a page or two ago.
As all these companies merge down to a few, distribution will be in the driver's seat. It's not a surprise till Toei didn't say shit about their IP.

They will make stronger SJW content demands. So anyone who thought they'd avoid the obnoxious messaging by watching anime, good luck. With distribution locked, it won't just be the dubs, either.

I'm actually inclined to doubt the "worst case" scenario in this situation, for two distinct reasons. For one, anime is getting a lot of investment from China (who are not into the SJW stuff) and that combined with anime largely being created for and marketed to Japanese means the original source is unlikely to be heavily affected. Secondly, anime/manga has long been an area heavily influenced by piracy, so if the pendulum swings too far to the left then you're only going to see a super resurgence of the original bootleg/underground networks. Lots of people already do this anyway because they don't want to pay for it, if you get a bunch of people going back to "muh unedited anime" (just for the opposite reasons from when fujoshis were whining about no lesbian sailor scouts) then you'll see a whole lot of bittorrent and what not activity all over the place. Streaming took off because it was easy and relatively cheap, but lots of people are always just looking for excuses to stick it to the American anime companies anyway.

Hey a return to the mid 2000s. At least the dubbing back then was hilariously bad.

as a fat piece of shit i have to legit wonder what happened to her face. That's not just her getting fat there. Something else is going on there. First image yeah she's a bit chubby if even. Second IMage she's not just fat.
I'm guessing it's a cocktail of age and cuntiness. Remember that pic of Monica and Jamie that Sharon used in her original article? The one where they're posed like 'Nam vets with severe PTSD?

Monica's no spring daisy, but Jamie looks significantly older, IMO.

Angles are everything.

Wait...so this person is saying those lawtwitter homies knew the whole deal with Ron Toye and his...issues...before anyone else knew and didn't think ANY of that mattered?
I'm just impressed that "the vast majority of law twitter" knew Jamie, Monica and Ron but only "few knew of FUNimation". Are the "vast majority of law twitter" comprised of friends of the primary defendants? Because I can't think of any other reason that a group of people would know those three (especially Ron) and not know of FUNimation.

i fully agree that Marchi looks a lot older than Monica here but even on this very image she doesn't look practically dead like on the one the comparison was drawn with. Like i get that you look as ugly as you behave but wow i never expected it to be THIS accurate

That was very likely a mistake, the tweet makes way more sense if you add "didn't" in the first sentence.

It's also further segregated than that. There is a sliver of law Twitter that paid any attention to this and even less that stayed engaged.

Look at the ABAs tweet for an example. About 1% of the followers actually interacted with the tweet about the case. It just happens that 1% are screeching non-stop and sound like the majority.
