TGWTG The Spoony One / Spoony / Noah Antwiler and Rachel Baker / @RaeAngel07 - The touching romance between a washed-up videogame reviewer throwing a decade-long pity party and his delusional Canuck stalker. #weaknotsick #donttellmehowtosulk

I re-watched the full stream and I miscalculated, he made well over 300 dollars total for that stream.

I would love to see his backers/superchat paypigs. I just want to know who is so cucked that they literally donate cash out of nostalgia feels to a sad sack loser with girl hair that produces no content.

Does he say anything interesting? I meant to watch some of it and post any interesting comments but I never got around to it.
He played a story based puzzle game, "The Return of Obra Dinn", so he mostly avoided personal topics and just read game text and gave typical reactions to the game.
He completely ignored stream chat, if he read anything they said, he certainly didn't respond to anything.
There's nothing remarkable about his gameplay. If he had to start from scratch he'd be one of those dime-a-dozen streamers that get less than a dozen viewers on average forever.
Some notes:
-Spoony hasn't "properly" cut his hair in over 5 years, resulting in a ridiculous looking scraggly ponytail.
-Spoony has never played Final Fantasy 14
-Spoony ignores donations until somebody gives money saying they're being ignored, then it's just "Thanks [name]" for everyone after that.
-Most of the money came from one Swede (he donated in Krona) for around $300. People in chat call him an enabler. Typical Stockholm case, "Spoony has been there for me! He deserves more!", no he hasn't, and no he doesn't.
-More Swedes, must be a neetbux thing.
-"No, there's no chance I'm turning comments back on."
-"Why wasn't I in the new Cinema Snob movie? I was not asked, it's simple as that." Chat points out that means Brad lied. "Brad lied? I don't- I don't know about what." They say he was asked but was unavailable. "He did not ask me to be in the movie, and I did not decline." Long pause. "Because I would have said yes."
-"Okay, wow. Okay. Do I have a stream schedule?" laughs
-"I have no schedule, my life's in the toilet right now. Yeah. I don't know. It's amazing I was able to bring myself to stream at all. I don't know when I'll be back, I guess. I don't know when you'll see me again."

This could be good for us itching for more Spoon-Drama in the future...

Interesting stuff. Thanks.

Except he has. Did his mangled brain forget?

He was also streaming at what would've been daytime in Europe.

-"No, there's no chance I'm turning comments back on."

Which is weird because the comments are still enabled on this VOD a day later.

Hoo boy - this is the good bit. Why would Brad lie about that? I don't buy it. Neither of them have anything to gain by it and Brad seemed sincere when he said he wanted Noah to return.

He probably did ask and Spoony blew him off, then later forgot about it or is now trying to say this sort of shit to make it sound like he's ready to come back soon if people just enable his current behaviour a little longer.

♪ Hello, darkness, my old friend ♪

but even that can be a lot of work when you're depressed.
Honestly, twitter is the fucking devil for someone in spoony's condition. Instead of having to focus on putting something together like a well-done written review, he just has to get his shit takes out on twitter and that's enough work for him in his mind. Doesn't help that he still has a kissass fanbase.

If he has ADHD on top of his depression, oh boy. Maybe it's better if he doesn't do full written reviews. Otherwise, he'll sperg about Trump in the middle of unrelated subjects.
I think you're going to be seriously disappointed if he ever does do a written review again. That said if he has ADHD then a script could be just what he needs, so he could work through everything before he switches the camera on.

Anyway I wouldn't hold my breath, he needs to set achievable goals for himself, like a getting a haircut.

Hence, the "angry reviewer" is dead. Those old videos are not easy to go back to. I'm surprised angry reviewing lasted as long as it did, since CA had dozens jerking off it to death on the same site.
I can go back to old AVGN and SFDebris pretty easily. I even considered buying the AVGN blurays. People seem to like Civvie11 despite being the same angry review shtick.

In general though, people seem to have moved onto long form, feature length reviews (Joseph Anderson, TehSnakerer). They still skew negative, but have more to say than stringing swear words together or overblown rage. There are streams too, but I'm completely outside of that community.

Nah, classic "angry reviewer" would review something like Vivisector with something like "this game is fucking sucks, it's just like getting raped in your ass by a rhino, I would rather go to concentration camp, that play this shit again, I didn't play it as a kid, but this shit has ruined my childhood". He seems to be more chill and self-aware.

Right. He doesn't scream himself hoarse with obscenities or do Loony Tunes-style theatrics. He reviews games he has a clear disdain for a careful scalpel.

From the Postal III review:

KROTCHY: Yo, kids! Krotchy here! Sorry to interrupt all the irreverent social commentary.
CV11: It's okay. You weren't.

No, for several reasons. Firstly, his last reviews were clearly made without much of motivation. Jokes were reused, the ones that were not were just flat and he himself seemed too distant. Keep in mind that his last review was, how many years ago, five? Imagine how much worse he has gotten after that much time in Twitter echo chamber, floating in his impotent rage for orange man. He is simply not the right man for the job anymore. Secondly, I can't say something like "I grew up on videos from TGWTG", but I watched a lot of their shit back in the day. How many of them I watch now? Zero. I'm just fed up with that type of humor, editing, "one guy in front of the camera with cuts to the subject of the review" and angry reviewer shtick. You can say that anybody can do that shit nowadays and probably won't be wrong. Thirdly, streaming was a mistake, because now I know what Spoony really thinks of his fans. You can talk as long as you want about "separate author from his creation", but if Spoony will make any reference to some old movie, I will immediately recall how he insulted one of his fans for several minutes for doing the same. I just can't pretend that this didn't happen. Also, now I know how much he sucks in games. And finally, while Spoony was slowly transforming into JUSTED version of himself, I wasn't just waiting. Nobody was, I guess. There are more than enough people, who do the same stuff, but better, and I will always compare him to them. And because of the first reason, I doubt he is going to win that one.

I'm not sure he still has ability to reflect in the mirrors.
His old role also got taken up by better youtubers with more stable personalities. Pretty much anything I liked about Spoony is being done by someone better , more unique , and more relatable with more to offer and with less sjw beliefs and attitude to boot. He's a relic of an age filled with trappings long abandoned,

Don't know man, that Ripper and Phantasmagoria riffs were something I still rewatch them time to time. Only thing similar I could find was Retsupurae and they're really hit and miss, and don't even make content anymore.

If you know anything similar, share.

I've been looking for the of Spoony's unlisted streams on Youtube. I have a playlist with a fair few but I wanted to find any others. I know he played Siren Bloodcurse alot but I can't find any of those Youtube links. Does anyone have them? I know he played KHOLAT but that went private.

Here's what I got so far https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJgTR3_BjIxv_pbzrJzH3lymVoG9V44JA
I wasn't aware that Spoony actually put his published streams on lockdown like that. I did know, however, that he will just delete stream footage before it gets the chance to be published. He once caved to peer pressure and did a let's play of Undertale and did everything in the game wrong on purpose, treating it like a standard RPG where you're supposed to kill the enemies instead of negotiating with them, and he constantly feigned ignorance when the chat kept telling him he would get the bad ending, but his tone of voice made it clear he knew what he was doing and he was just doing it out of spite.

That was the first time I noticed he either selectively published streams or just deleted stream footage before it could go public. I don't see a reason to save his URLs since all of his scripted content is scattered to mirror accounts with Russian subtitles. If there were livestreams you couldn't find on his channel after he did a broadcast, it's because he intercepted the video before it could be published and knowing him, they're probably gone for good.

As for preexisting streams that were suddenly hidden, I don't see why Spoony wouldn't just delete those too.
4 1/2 hours "work" in the last 3 months. He must be exhausted, so much so he forgot to turn off the youtube comments.
Oh wow, he even specifically said he would never leave them on again in that very video.

The whole comment section of that video is just people giving him support and praise. Knowing him, this will be less than acceptable and he'll lock it down again.

Eh fair enough, yeah in the niche of obscure mediums like fmv games he still would have a place, Joel and Vinny covers some of the same things and seem more nice and stable but less enjoyable than prime Spoony imo, not a bad substitute though imo. I also liked Counter Monkey, but I didnt look for rpg channels very long the only other ones I found were people with even less connection to my online spheres than Spoony

Edit some people find them grating and goofy and a bit sanitized which at times i agree with so will probably not be for you
