TGWTG The Spoony One / Spoony / Noah Antwiler and Rachel Baker / @RaeAngel07 - The touching romance between a washed-up videogame reviewer throwing a decade-long pity party and his delusional Canuck stalker. #weaknotsick #donttellmehowtosulk

His biggest complaint was always that video editing is a slog, right? WRITTEN reviews would require a lot of editing and polish too, but not nearly as much as shooting, cutting, and rendering video.

I can definitely see how a lot of his videos would have taken a lot of editing to make, including some of his best ones.

But shit, his counter-monkey stuff was just one camera angle and an uninterrupted rant, including plenty of dead air of him flipping through books that he hadn't prepared beforehand. As usual his biggest complaints are just excuses.

Spoony had the budget and time to do it, if he wanted to he could have hired someone, hell James Rolfe does that now and thats because he HAS to.

He could do this. Yes, it's not as instant as slamming 'POST' and having it in front of the masses, and yes, at this stage of his mental illness his pieces would probably be infected with TDS. But he could do this. People would read it. It would be something.
but even that can be a lot of work when you're depressed.
Honestly, twitter is the fucking devil for someone in spoony's condition. Instead of having to focus on putting something together like a well-done written review, he just has to get his shit takes out on twitter and that's enough work for him in his mind. Doesn't help that he still has a kissass fanbase.

If he has ADHD on top of his depression, oh boy. Maybe it's better if he doesn't do full written reviews. Otherwise, he'll sperg about Trump in the middle of unrelated subjects.

If Spoony would just go back to making regular reviews of B-Movies and videogames, would you resubscribe?
I feel like despite all the shit he got, there is no other reviewer that can make a comeback as easily as him. All it would take is some elbow grease...

Personally I wouldnt. And honestly I doubt many will either. I said it like this in an earlier post ;

Spoony is 39 closing in on 40. That isn't exactly a spring chicken in this days internet couple that with as you said now younger and frankly more tech savy reviewers, Spoony would be fighting an uphill battle. Even if Spoony brings back his old self and spits fire like he used to if not better, most people won't care because his videos are stuck in an era we have long since left behind. I said before if he picked himself up, sat down, and worked his ass off to re build what he had, he might have a shot, but at this point he will never be as big, plus many games franchises he is known for have basically been picked up by other reviews, he has nothing, hes starting from square one. I think that plays into his anxiety in a way, he knows hes a relic, he's not current or up to date with how youtube or any site operates anymore.

Is doing 2 zero-effort live streams a year more or less pathetic than doing none at all?

I guess less pathetic as doing even the 2 zero-effort livestreams is him doing SOMETHING, and in my book, something is greater than nothing.

But that just means on the "How much effort do you put in" scale of 0-10, he's about a 0.5 instead of a flat 0.

Probably not
did he ever leave an apology for disappointed patrons in light of him being so inactive? All I remember is him getting pissy with a few of them on twitter for daring to tell him that they weren't going to keep paying him.

Ya know, for someone that got famous for snarking over other people's work, Noah sure is thin skinned himself.

I re-watched the full stream and I miscalculated, he made well over 300 dollars total for that stream.
But that just means on the "How much effort do you put in" scale of 0-10, he's about a 0.5 instead of a flat 0.
Notice how he streams near the end of the month, so that the superchat money is in his bank by the time he needs to pay bills on the 1st.
He's putting in just the bare minimum to sustain himself.

Imagine how April feels working one or two jobs while taking the bus just to make ends meet, while Spoony pats himself on the back for his one day of work.

So has spoony shit himself over the Ukraine transcript yet or is he still asleep?
Nothing of substance. Literally just calling people ugly. Such wit.

I've been looking for the of Spoony's unlisted streams on Youtube. I have a playlist with a fair few but I wanted to find any others. I know he played Siren Bloodcurse alot but I can't find any of those Youtube links. Does anyone have them? I know he played KHOLAT but that went private.

Here's what I got so far https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJgTR3_BjIxv_pbzrJzH3lymVoG9V44JA

I preferred his counter monkey videos, but if they were up to par with his old stuff, sure, why not?

But even in the unlikely event he started making content again, I think it would be bad. Mainly for the reasons @TheShortWaveCerealKiller said, but as @Lucas Silva #4903141 said, he might start ranting about Trump or progressive politics during whatever reviews he makes.

No, for several reasons. Firstly, his last reviews were clearly made without much of motivation. Jokes were reused, the ones that were not were just flat and he himself seemed too distant. Keep in mind that his last review was, how many years ago, five? Imagine how much worse he has gotten after that much time in Twitter echo chamber, floating in his impotent rage for orange man. He is simply not the right man for the job anymore. Secondly, I can't say something like "I grew up on videos from TGWTG", but I watched a lot of their shit back in the day. How many of them I watch now? Zero. I'm just fed up with that type of humor, editing, "one guy in front of the camera with cuts to the subject of the review" and angry reviewer shtick. You can say that anybody can do that shit nowadays and probably won't be wrong. Thirdly, streaming was a mistake, because now I know what Spoony really thinks of his fans. You can talk as long as you want about "separate author from his creation", but if Spoony will make any reference to some old movie, I will immediately recall how he insulted one of his fans for several minutes for doing the same. I just can't pretend that this didn't happen. Also, now I know how much he sucks in games. And finally, while Spoony was slowly transforming into JUSTED version of himself, I wasn't just waiting. Nobody was, I guess. There are more than enough people, who do the same stuff, but better, and I will always compare him to them. And because of the first reason, I doubt he is going to win that one.

Spoony is calling people ugly?

Has he looked in a mirror lately?
I'm not sure he still has ability to reflect in the mirrors.

AVGN, Channel Awesome, and Spoony started a trend, or at least did something the Internet hadn't seen before. Others have since come along and improved on it. RLM and others do similar piss-takings but have found methods that don't involve pretending to yell at a TV screen. Even James Rolfe has mostly moved on from that; he just keeps AVGN running for the fans. Hence, the "angry reviewer" is dead. Those old videos are not easy to go back to. I'm surprised angry reviewing lasted as long as it did, since CA had dozens milking it to death on the same site.

And yes, I don't know if he was drunk or tired or suffering a bipolar low, but Spoony, the same guy who would quote the entire span of his childhood entertainment, was an asshole to whoever made that IT Crowd joke.

Probably best that he doesn't come back, unless he gets a professional mental colonic. And we all know by now that he won't.

Good God, this man needs a haircut.

Imagine that mop with the Doctor Insano outfit.
