I was doubting they were going to just jump to a port and TPN but then... I also never thought Dani would get TPN and she's still on it two months later.

Well it seems like TPN is not the plan now. It's looking like a secondary nose hose while they keep her at bay with empty promises.

Like, I guess I can kinda get why people like Anna (of Anna's Organics), Kelly, or JanJan would want to make illness their "thing" -- when you're not very pretty and not very smart and not very nice to be around and not very skilled at anything in particular, or you lack a healthy support system of friends and family, you're bored and craving attention, so you decide to compete in the malingering Olympics. Dumb and shitty, but kinda-sorta makes a sliver of senses from the perspective of someone who truly has nothing to offer the world.

But a lot of these girls are traditionally pretty, even well-educated. Why would you want to spend your best years only getting attention for being fake-sick when you could spend it out in the real world doing fun stuff, achieving things, and documenting that for Instagram instead of posing with NG tubes and service dogs?

Idk man, I guess I just wonder what compels people -- who don't already obviously have something wrong with them mentally or physically, who would likely be popular and get attention for their looks alone, if they tried -- to become self-isolating, manipulative, malingering weirdos with no real friends, only enablers and the ER nurses they're on a first-name basis with from being such frequent-fliers at the local hospital.

Is it just a fear of growing up, or what? The mind boggles.

JanJan is not unattractive. But she sure is dumb. She seems to have literacy issues, there are too many instances to list. it drives me crazy. I found it hard to believe that Jaq could even be friends with her because she was so dumb. She was doing a few things that paint her as cunning. She confuses me, to say the least. I think she has too low of a level of health literacy to be an effective muncher.

Spoiler: summary of SOS backstory

There were faked seizure and long clickbaity completely boring videos.
But before Skylar and kids, she lived with her grandma in Montana and "modeled" aka had photographers take her photo... Few were used for clothing shops but nothing huge. She used to make and sell chiari awareness shirts for people to support her, she had quite the following already by the time I discovered her. She would constantly complain that her grandma and family/friends/boyfriends didn't really understand what she was going through. They would expect too much from her and they weren't supportive at all. So she had to pay out of pocket for every treatment and doctors appointment and since she never had a job to speak of she always had a go fund me open and receptive plus t shirt sales. When her grandma passed was around the time she met Skylar. They ended up having Lilly together before he broke up with her for a short period, moved his friend in with him and lived away from her for a bit but she came back to him, made ammends and moved back in. Now before and after Lilly she spoke every once in a while of how hard it is to be pregnant and chronically ill but it was off hand remarks about EDs and dislocations. But she had stopped the dramatics, wasn't promoting t-shirt sales and go fund me campaigns every 5 seconds. Was basically just garnishing a small amount of attention that she wasn't getting from her busy military boyfriend. I'm sure at this point they were fairly well off and covered in medical costs. With each child she made the births sound like crisis mode and that she would be seconds from bleeding out and dying on the table. But still she didn't garnish for money just attention. After both c sections she went to posting half naked online and being proud of her scars. She would go weeks where it was a cute baby Pic and then a scar Pic back and forth. It got old so I didn't pay attention much during this portion after each pregnancy. But with both girls she actually seemed happy and to be doing well. I had hopped maybe the munchie in her was put to rest. But then Lilly started having issues too, which to me look like normal 2 year old issues but I could be wrong. Anyways she got diagnosed with chiari and i figured there would be a slew for Lilly but she surprised us all and started making it about her again with little slips about Lilly and the possibility that everlee could be sick too. The fact that I have worked with someone who is a chiari zipper head maybe I'm kinda biased on how normal of a life someone can live with chiari as a diagnosis but SOS would have you think it's a death sentence. And now we're here and she's crumbling into munchie land fast. Making sure the drama is high as are the donations (/ways to donate) this is the second time she's scrubbed her social media.

Her videos were very staged at the beginning which is how I had the spark of, wow she might literally be doing the best grift ever...faking a sickness to get money and spend life doing whatever you want. But of course like us all I was appauled by it and how she used to talk about her grandma made me sick! And like many have said, she has great skin and hair which are hard to maintain if you're malnourished and sick, cortisol, the stress hormone is high in those who are sick all the time and it's the hormone that takes the biggest toll on your appearance. In the case of my munchie relative, it was a combination of things. Cluster B mom, traumatic injuries during childhood, and a lack of sense of identity led her to realize that she was at her happiest when people felt sorry for her and were dumping attention on her. She doesn't need to grow up or work on herself or deal with hard emotions, because she can just go to the ER for drugs and asspats instead. She's young, petite, and cute but it gets her a lot more pity than if she were grotesque and fat.

I assume it's pretty similar for the munchies of this thread too.

She has her husband pay for private insurance for her and the kids so she doesn't have to struggle with tricare. And her videos of the mold problem looked like child's play compared to my friends regular old ground level $2000 per month apartment, not military, which had a horrible mold problem and fleas that never died. Apartment complex did nothing for my friend so this girl is lucky housing is even working on it (as she complains the whole time about the free hotel and food allowance). She very well could screw up her decently lush lifestyle with everything she's pulling. lush meaning she has a roof over her head, doesn't have to worry about her next meal, always has all the necessities plus some wants and even has very decent medical coverage as it sounds. I have a hard time feeling bad for her and I cannot stand her whining.

Here's an article about the mold. The lady in this article seems to have had a much worse problem than what SOS showed in her videos but either way the military is currently paying for her and 45 other (possibly more) families to be living in a motel while they solve the issue plus each family get $30/person per day in food allowance on top of the army's normal cost of living allowance. I wonder if she read the story and added it to her narrative of how sick they were and how they needed more help. I only say this as she started mentioning the mold problem out of the blue after they had lived there for over a year and hadn't mentioned anything about it before.
