Hello Kiwis. Semi-long-term reader, first-time poster. Still need to come up with an avatar - am thinking something Macross/Flashback 2012 related.

This doesn't really have anything to do with the ongoing litigation, but is directly related to Vic. I've been watching a YouTube channel called Certifiably Ingaming. If you have any interest whatsoever in Star Trek Online (STO), it's a really neat channel hosted by a guy pretty steeped in Trek lore. He has an entire series devoted to the STO story throughline, from Kirk's era to many years after the the last NG movie, Nemesis.

Anyway, I (logically) started at the beginning and lo and behold who do I hear but the man himself, Vic Mignogna, who voices Admiral Isaac Garrett. I'm assuming he's the in-story father or perhaps grandfather of Captain Rachel Garrett, the doomed captain of the Enterprise-C featured in Yesterday's Enterprise.

Since Vic has been dropped by Funimation and Rooster Teeth and the roles he previously played reassigned, I was wondering if there had been any rumblings about replacing him in STO...? He has a pretty critical presence during that time period of the game and I can see where KV'ers would want to target the game in the hopes of getting him ousted, thereby claiming another cancel culture victory. I have no idea if TPTB behind STO even know of this entire clusterfrak, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did. I seem to recall them acquiescing in the past to an idiotic demand made by a lone SJW, so they should at least be aware that a culture war is happening.

Looking at the wiki, he also voiced a Vulcan named Chief Scientist Somat for STO in 2019.

But his last roles were added to the game in January, which means it was recorded and implemented before all of this stupidity was kicked off. So there's really no telling if they'll use him again. He has only had two roles thrown his way from them in about four years, one which looks minor, and one was probably decently medium since there seems to be a longer quest chain involved with that character. But since Vic was Kirk in that fan project Star Trek Continues he probably has a fair following, but I guess it's just a we'll see thing.

Also, of some minor note Michele Specht riding that Trek dick and voiced Krog and Loriss for the game.

To date, the only dirty laundry Vic has admitted to is banging so many women he can't remember them all, cheating on Specht, and hiring a hooker.

Besides, Specht shouldn't blame him if she wasn't willing to be a part of his life like that. It's not even the sex part. She literally just seems like she has no clue how to interact with fans or participate without being a condescending cunt.

I guarantee if she put her ego down and either got involved with how he chooses to interact with the fans and the fandom community or supported him by just...being there, they'd have less issues. People like Vic really enjoy having a partner who's involved in some form and while I don't want to speak on his behalf, I really think that's what he wanted.

She would have always had to deal with him being more popular than her. Always. Handling it with grace means letting him have that and not being jealous of his success and fan base.

That mentality could have helped a lot of people in this case but these crusty hoes don't wanna admit that they need to respect others. The only reason they haven't turned against each other before is likely because their fanbases are comparable to one another and there's nothing to be jealous of.

That reminds me, DBS Broly is the one dlc character left for season 2. I really hope Vic stays as his actor. Could you imagine all the asshurt from it? Even if they just reused lines either from the movie or the other Broly already in the game. The only problem is how much castingcouch5000 is involved with dubbing for the video games.
