The big charge does seem pretty weird to me too if that's the only issue, but I don't know much about vetenarians and how they charge for cats. Google says that it's usually 75 dollars at most for an overnight stay, but I can see a surgery being that expensive. I'm surprised they don't have pet insurance, that seems pretty irresponsible and imo if you need to beg for shekels online to take your cat to the vet, you shouldn't get the pet.

I agree; that price seems a bit high, even if he has to stay overnight. I've never had a pet stay overnight after a procedure, even with general anesthesia. I can't find boarding prices in her area, but I can't imagine it could possibly be more than $50 or so.

He needs his claws cut??? So cut them! A clipper is $3.99 at Petco, and every time I've brought a cat to a vet, their claws have been trimmed as part of the checkup.

My family changed vets because our last one was charging a base rate of $200 just to look at a pet for a consult. Anything else just jumped it up. Our vet now charges $50 for a vet visit.

If she was really that poor and that worried about paying for it, she'd look around for a reputable vet who could do the procedure at a more reasonable price. (Now, granted I live in the middle of fucking nowhere) my cat started having tooth rot (because apparently indoor cats don't figure a way to clean their teeth like they do in the wild, I guess). Anyway, she ended up having four removed, but they only analyzed her mouth after she was out cold. Before they took her in they told me there was a price cap, where after needing to remove so many teeth up to and including all of them, the price stopped at about $600.

Because of the absolute state of healthcare in the US (including animals) many, many vets (like hospitals) also work out a payment plan just in case you can't pay the whole thing up front. Some people don't like that because debt accrues, Stephanie is not one of those people. This whole post reeks of low effort bullshit.

Edit; I found the upload of one of her books. There's another one floating out there, the "You're not cis you just think you are" one, but I can't find it having been uploaded. It's a boring memoir about her coming out as NB though. Not worth it. go ahead and rate me autistic for what i'm gonna say next, but what i think is interesting about the story is there's a lot of detail and care put into the gory parts. they're almost tolerable. i know it's meant to be a horror story, and of course you're gonna focus on the gorey aspects in a horror story, but it's just so bizarre how the blood and guts are so lovingly written and detailed compared to the high school schlock. it makes me think of her secret blog she made during the mogai-watch saga and did all those posts about how much she wanted to viciously murder MW.
combined with her anger and these borderline sensual descriptions of gore rubs me the wrong way. i'm not worried she'll do anything violent irl, she's total chickenshit. i hope she's just being overly edgy with the gorn, because if she's legitimately batshit, it adds a level of fucked up to her antics. actually, now that i remember, didn't she have a horror tumblr specifically for TCC and gore?

off topic, but sadly a lot of people thirst for ramirez, its not something unique what steph is doing. the true crime community (when i was unfortunately involved in it, though it had died now due to tumblr bans) used to call him, Bundy and Dahmer the "unholy trinity". IMO, i can't fault tv and film for casting attractive actors to play serial killers, since everyone likes to look at pretty things and some of the casting is accurate lookswise to their real life counterparts (ie: ross lynch in my friend dahmer, zac efron in the new bundy movie)

I don't know much about Peetie's condition or cat health in general, but I think he'll be fine. the fundraiser for him will probably raise 200-300 bucks so steph can pocket the money, since we all know her parents are going to pay for anything she wants, especially her sick cat.
