You know what this bullshit has just about taken away by torpedoing a man's career and nearly separated him from the people he cares about the most? We may never again get to have silly wholesome panels like this between the cast.


"We want to help the community heal" my ass. The fanbase loves panels like this. This is what fans go to conventions for, to see the interaction between the cast as they cook up a little fanservice for their adoring fans because they love their fans, and they love their work. This is how you help the community heal, by allowing them all to come together for some wholesome entertainment.

My biggest hope once this is all said and done is that we get one more panel between the FMA cast (those who actually matter) so we can have more cherished moments like the silly ad-libbed (yet in-character) proposal. But I'm sure it's just a pipedream in the end.

Let's be more realistic. This is not going to make the kinds of waves in the anime community that people are acting like it is. Most of this snarl comes from a tight-knit clique that got too much power in Texas. Most of even the Texan VAs aren't truly invested in this, to say nothing of the LA (and assorted other) ones. If Vic hadn't fought back, this would have settled down moderately quickly with Vic's career almost completely torpedoed (maybe he would have made that 'comeback' with other studios like the LA ones as long as he didn't admit to anything, but never Texas or anything Sabat had influence over). Because he did fight back, this is ruffling feathers and causing more ripples for more time, with the added benefit of revitalizing Vic's career and potentially booting Sabat. However, it will still settled down eventually, and things will go back to what they basically were before - hopefully minus the toxic clique until another one forms.

Basically, chill out. This isn't the anime apocalypse, it's just a brief storm. When that storm passes, the birds will start singing again and everything will go back to the same it was, except with the added smell of petrichor and no more looming clouds on the horizon.

Looks like Vic was on a panel with two women. Nice to see him on a panel with other human beings again. The women look absolutely petrified, of course.

One of the women is Mindy Sterling, Frau Farbissina from Austin Powers. Not sure who the woman to the right of Vic is.

I sincerely hope the two women won't get shit flung their way for being in close proximity to Vic. At least judging by Mindy's twitter, she's a complete boomer and most likely not even aware of the Vic situation.

Either way, just nice to see Vic is having a good time and doesn't have to feel like an outcast.

I know people talk about this damaging the community but this is more of a blood stain on it than its destruction. Weebs want to get involved because it is interesting, entertaining, and feels like something worth fighting for to them. These VAs are kind of the bad guys and nobody likes when the bad guys win. I'd be shocked if the VAs decided to grow a pair and be the better people wanting to sort this out and take it respectfully instead of the spite shit show. Sabat isn't causing problems, is he? He hates Nick and is a snake but nobody is paying attention to him as he doesn't present it like a problem. Sorry, but Vic isn't a part of this petty war. It is a war against Rial and it will end only with Rial dropping out of acting permanently. Anyone else can drop and walk out at any point including Toye.

You can blame Sabat all you want, but this is the world you created, Rial. This miserable, bitter world where people are abandoning you with all the people you have left thinking you nothing more than a political tool. You must be so proud of that even losing someone who probably genuinely believed to be a close friend. I really hope Rial looks at the mirror realizing the monster she has become. She's the reason why all these Kiwis came together rooting for some guy with the gayest pants in the world.

And I do think regardless of any outcome justice will come for Rial. There's just no way she's walking out of this clean as her rep is beyond broken being the spotlight character. I am interested to see the consequences of this whole mess.

Besides, Specht shouldn't blame him if she wasn't willing to be a part of his life like that. It's not even the sex part. She literally just seems like she has no clue how to interact with fans or participate without being a condescending cunt.

I guarantee if she put her ego down and either got involved with how he chooses to interact with the fans and the fandom community or supported him by just...being there, they'd have less issues. People like Vic really enjoy having a partner who's involved in some form and while I don't want to speak on his behalf, I really think that's what he wanted.

She would have always had to deal with him being more popular than her. Always. Handling it with grace means letting him have that and not being jealous of his success and fan base.

That mentality could have helped a lot of people in this case but these crusty hoes don't wanna admit that they need to respect others. The only reason they haven't turned against each other before is likely because their fanbases are comparable to one another and there's nothing to be jealous of.

There is something about Specht I don't like and I think there was more to it than we know. Way more. I agree he needs a partner like that. Right now he just has arm candy. I'm sure he's comfortable though.

If the leaks aren't a big deal why are you doing damage control then Mike? Don't give me that shit when you report all of the other claims that have as much backing as Huber's statements but try to discredit him by trying to insinuate he's a flat earther.

What I'm sure actually happened is your Funimation contact told you that they're waiting for it to blow over. I'm sure ANN had a piece to do damage control ready to go. About how it's totally normal for these kinds of things to exist. Why they get shown at conventions and are even extras on DVDs as outtakes. That's why no one brought them up ever before, right?

Vic did a thing. At some point. A thing that pissed Mike off. Probably. Maybe. So he's canceled and rapey.

It always makes me sad that mike toole is such a tool, he's done some great stuff for Discotek. I mean, no matter how much I hate him I still have to applaud him for his sacrifice of a signed, mostly likely very hard to find, production book so that the Giant Robo release can have some amazing cover art. One of the many reasons why I despise Twitter is finding out just how awful people I thought I liked are.

So somebody named Jacob wanted to send me his screenshot of him and Cartoon Hero. Turns out, he removed his comments after the screenshot was made, proving that the Cartoon Hero cannot take any criticism.

to be entirely fair: Anybody would remove that kind of comment because nobody wants somebody just shittalking them on their own patreon. That of course does not mean that Cartoon Hero stands any better, he certainly doesn't since he's certified scum, but it means that deleting that is actually not as unreasonable
