When I was younger I legitimately tried to be accepting of trans folk. But for every legitimately cool person you have about 5 who are such damaged human beings that you shudder to envision where they’ll end up in ten years. Had a friend who came out late and transitioned in their late 20s, practically almost 30. “She” absolutely could not accept that she was not the teenage punk gril she always wanted to be and it was extremely offputting seeing them try to cosplay in sexy schoolgirl outfits while sporting a cleft. They’d also get indignant when she’d only attract people who only see her as an incredibly effeminate man and not a woman.

If you decide to transition and you absolutely cannot handle whatever your assigned gender is, go right ahead, I’m not going to throw a bitchfit. Just don’t act like you’re going to live the female adolescence you missed out on if you’re already a fully grown adult.
