Think some of this stuff was already posted in Lynn's thread (there are already archives for most of this stuff), but still wanted to post it again in the main thread. Lynn thought it'd be funny to "ship" Nick and Vic after seeing the pic of them in Hawaii and encouraged her followers to create "art" based on that. The results are actually terrifying and completely mentally deranged and, guess what? Surprisingly homophobic. I guess Vic being Christian is enough reason to accuse him of hating gay people, despite him showing support for them in the past and never saying anything homophobic publicly, but treating homosexuality as some sort of prop and joke to hurt someone else is A-OK. Genuinely speechless.

Girls normally don't swear a lot because it's impolite and makes you look vulgar. You shouldn't be swearing just for the sake of it, it doesn't make you look as tough as you think it does.

I will say this: Jamie Marchi is a disgusting waste of humanity, but if anyone deserves blame for this enabling this behavior, it's the Funimation management. To this day, I cannot for the life of me understand why Funimation couldn't tell their voice actors to keep their stupid mouths shut even in the midst of the lawsuit - not just Jamie and Monica, but also Schemmel, Edwards, Tatum, DC Douglas, Grelle, Sheh, Martin, Rager, Weidenheft, Sabat et al. Not only are they tainting their own reputation, they're also dragging Funimation's image down with it.

I work at a professional private company and I can assure you that if I so much as make one of the tweets Jamie made, I would have been fired on the spot and rightly so. Even though I'm a nobody, my one lone tweet could have brought some complaints and even some negative PR. But Funimation isn't some private company; it's a multi-million-dollar company owned by a billion-dollar-corporation.

Not only are many of Funimation's key figures well-known in the anime community, but their social media is tied to their profession. As Vic himself said in his deposition, "what Funimation may not get is that these voice actors have been employed by them for many years and when they speak, the public at large…sees Funimation”. Yet for reasons that defy the most generous attempts of logic, they still sit on their hands and let their VA's babble on, despite losing tons of customers, hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue and widespread respect among fans. I just don't get it.

Ty once described "Igor" as a "tragic figure" in this whole ordeal, but I think that the title would also apply to Jamie, not because she's innocent, but because she's going to be used as a scapegoat for everything that's wrong at Funimation while the real culprits will continue to hide behind-the-scenes. I think if she was disciplined earlier and learned some humility, she would not have behaved this irrationally, but she wasn't and now she thinks she's going to get out of this scot-free when her fate has already been sealed. I never thought I'd express pity for Jamie, but I have to admit, I kinda do.
